I'm an Aussie who absolutely LOVES the UK version more than our Aussie version. I loved our Aussie version in the beginning. But as the years have rolled on, it's just mostly still the same people, watching the same crap, saying the same things over and over and over. All while the voiceover is given far too much to say. It's supposed to be about the Goggleboxers and what they think. NOT the voiceover yapping on and on, and trying to set up the jokes where a Goggleboxer is added on to the end of the joke with a single randomly plucked word from them to finish the scripted jokes and set ups. That style of show may as well be just another piece of scripted comedy crap. I'd much rather hear 95-99% from the Goggleboxers THEMSELVES, their jokes, their thoughts on whatever they're watching, etc. That was meant to be the point of Gogglebox in the first place. And why I love the UK version so much.

Then why didn’t Chatty Man bring that out? He dealt with the talk show well but I think Graham Norton would have done better and the celebs on Graham’s sofa would have asked questions too, as others are saying what does nutty mean?

I can spot a non-English person a mile away, the sort of type who may or may not live in the country, the sort of type that lacks hundreds of years of English history, heritage and ancestry. Yet they feel fit to make assumptions and assertions that a lovely charming couple living in rural Wiltshire are 'INSANE', because they cannot associate or identify with certain English people like that. I regard the Gogglebox couple as completely normal to me and what England and the English are all about, albeit, she is a little fragile in nature. I'm not the one who lashed out and called them 'INSANE' FFS when they are not and I also haven't seen the OP explain or back up his story here, either, yet here we have you, another non-English lecturing to us proper English what is normal or not. I agree tommos, I'm always rooting for Giles. Hes the most down to earth , funniest guy ever, and reminds me so much of my late father.....then theres pretentious snooty mary snapping and telling him off for doing nothing...she can be quite cruel and nasty. Very controlling and treats him like a child. I dont think I could put up with her for long. She reminds me of my mother , always finding fault with everything and everyone, and I havwnt spoken to my mum in 5 years now. Mary and giles are funny at times, but I dont think they are well suited. And have only stayed together for the sake of google box.

@@Ellasnaps You're right....its so sad to watch it all .....shes a narcisistic bully, and I always cringe when niles ducks down, goes quiet and looks to the floor, like a classic bully victim. She can be so patronising and contradict herself. The worst is when she tells him, you look ugly when you do that, or say these words. " dont niles, it's not attractive " ....then minutes later, she is pulling silly faces herself. She even controls his emails....the public can only contact niles via her.... I can see mary has mental health problems , mostly the way she keeps breaking down and crying, fears modern life , is very pessimistic and snaps at everything.. I wonder if she is suffering from depression, as I have had this myself. I just wish she doesnt attack niles like this and try meditation techniques or pills. Could even be menopause ? So yes , I see what she is doing , like you do. But should we be watching this? Should they ( channel 4 producers ) be trying to make laughs from this ?
