Among all the sentai, Gogo V is one of the sentai that I truly respect. Using only pure human technology combat against demons with supernatural power. Despite the great difference in power balance, they never back down from any battle, always ready to fight for the sake of humanity and a better tomorrow. This series has truly shown that even human does not possess supernatural power, we still have potential to be great.
You could argue their "family power" is their supernatural power source. Many times Gogo V has shown will and tenacity can even power their machines in dire scenarios.
Imagine you in their shoes and place..... Struggling to control the experimental super robot that haven't tested its true power... With the controllers that different than their usual super robot..... While the rest of fate of humanity is doomed if you doesn't stop the planetary asteroid of destruction while you desperately try to free your new weapon from the asteroid living trap . .....

The way I feel it, this song feels like it would fit as 80s to early/mid 90s anime theme song, which is not a bad thing, and actually amusing since GoGo-V is a 1999-2000 live action series
YuJie Leong Well, with GoGo-V, I think it's because of the fact that aside from the villains, the heroes aren't that interesting to watch. However, with Lightspeed Rescue, well, it has its' moments, but, I think it's kind of on the "meh!" side of Power Rangers seasons. But, I actually did loved the whole "Thunderbirds"-esque tone that Lightspeed Rescue was going for. But, the villains, aside from Diabolico and Prince Olympius, they weren't that great. Still, at least they both have their fanbase, respectively. But, that's about it.
I think that the main reason could be that, in the past years, fansubs had been having trouble with subbing the series. It's also worth mentioning that, aside of Zyuranger and Jetman, all the sentais of the nineties and eighties aren't really popular.
My only complaint about this cosmically amazing song? It's doesn't exactly fit a robot whose only venture into space was assisted, was an asteroid crawler, and used as an extraterrestrial miner/bomber. This theme should've been for a true space robot! Still, hot damn!
I get that, and I'm well aware of what "ryuusei" means, but to see what I mean, forget about the title, forget what this song is for, listen to the feel of this song, the rising melody, and the ethereal chorus, and tell me that you don't hear the epic theme of a space voyager. Now, when you bring back in the subject of this song, and factor in what it's done in the show, it's kind of wasted that such an epic space-themed song on a primarily Earth-based mecha who, as I said, AFAIK only went to space once, and had to be ASSISTED by the Max Shuttle, and only went as far as Earth orbit, no further into space. That's what I mean when this song, awesome as it is, is wasted on Victory Mars.
ironically, this would have worked masterfully for a "lost galaxy" styled story, where the robot does not have enough autonomy to go on his own, but is the whjole location that is travelling in outer space
Weirdly epic theme for a megazord with such a funny-looking alternate mode, you say. But considering this sentai is _emergency rescue-themed,_ and Victory Mars was specifically designed to be used in *SPACE,* _any_ scenario that requires its presence is worthy of such dramatic music.
Still, with something like this, you would expect this theme for something truly spaceworthy, like any of the Megaranger mecha by virtue of being actual functionally independent spacecraft.
Gogo v sentai not just firefighter.. gogo v are super rescue team for earth. When there is super big meteor will hit earth. They need rescue team to blow up meteor.
If you consider that the whole series's about the world apocalypse at 1999 and Toei always make references to famous western media then it'd not be a surprise if it's a direct reference to Armageddon
Cool, I'd forgotten Victory Mars should have it's own song. Though I have to laugh, it only just occurred to me, on returning from the asteroid mission, how the heck did the whole Space GoLiner actually land again?
