Gohan Explained - Psychological Breakdown 

Gohan does like fighting. I think he just doesn't like hurting people. He always seems to enjoy training, or at the very least, thrive in it.

We should all remember that gohan does train with goten in those seven years, just for fun, cause he def enjoys it. People forget that he *will* have a genetic inclination for training and areogance. He’s not just half human, hes half saiyan. These discussions always forget that. I feel like we talk about him and goku as if they’re regular humans too If gohan didnt like fighting he would’ve just been a lawyer. Full blooded saiyans love the fight for the sake of it. Gohan just gave himself a reason to train & fight: stopping crime or his family, saving those namekians, for the sake of the challenge like when he first trained with piccolo. I think he loves training, his family, and being a scholar but doesn’t necessarily dislike fighting as a whole, but is definitely inclined to it

Love this video pointed out all of the flaws that make gohan my favorite character. Im editing this cuz of what you said In the end no matter how hard life gets keep pushing i really needed to hear that so thank you I relate to gohan a lot because I always feel not good enough been struggling threw getting rejected by someone that made me want get up but dragon ball videos are always another good reason to get up lol thank you for the videos always love in depth breakdowns of my favorite characters

I think also when he gets powerfull his saiyan side also comes out. He gets more agressive and crueler.

gohan taking the 7 years off from training is the biggest plot hole in the entire series, no way in hell would vegeta or piccolo allow gohan to slack off for 7 full years. piccolo was around so much by the end of the cell saga that he would of likely visited a lot to help out chi-chi, and thus he could of taken gohan to train just to maintain the power he had, whereas vegeta wouldnt of allowed gohan to get soft in peace he would of likely made gohan train with him whenever trunks and goten played together, it may not of been heavy training but it would of been some type of lite training again to help him maintain his power. and that much is shown in the manga and anime that gohan while much weaker still had the ability to transform into both a normal super saiyan grade 4 and super saiyan 2 as well thus he did train enough to be able to continue to use both these forms, otherwise it would of been a lot harder for him to transform and he was still very clearly using grade 4

A few things Gohun did not put Raditz on his ass his headbutt put a crack in his armor. Also it was not Chi-Chi idea for Gohun to be a scholar it was his desire even from a young boy. When Bulma meets him before the battle with Raditz at the age of 4 that was his desire and Goku confirmed it later in Z it was his desire Chi-Chi was just pushing him so he'd stay focused. In addition flyou didn't add in your breakdown after he turned SS2 he completely disregarded his father and simply wanted to make Cell suffer as much as possible. And too the ppl trying to debate Gohun does like fighting, that is false Gohun hates fighting. Gohun enjoys training because he's getting to invest in their time and getting to know them better while working on himself. He does it for self improvement not because he enjoys fighting. As for super hero I put zero stock into that there are so many holes within the timeline and terrible writing in general, in short it was a flop prob worst DBZ movie created. Trying to resurface the hype of fans in Cell Arc preying on the nastolgia of SS2. Ultimately it was terrible movie. So moving on from that ppl just have the misconception on his character and expect him to be just like his father.
