Gohan Faces Dabura’s Wrath! - DBS Rewrite Part 2: The Hellbreak Saga

This was a fantastic saga! The idea of Towa and Dabura creating Janemba is such a cool idea! I can't wait to see what else is in store for this rewrite :D

This was really good arc, and its nice to see the Demon Realm and demons get more recognition. I'm curious to see if we will get a Resurrection F Arc in anycase, since with Janemba screwing with the entire 7th Universe, especially with the Other World, we may have Frieza simply get resurrected in that way.

Fu being in this now?! This is the first time i think I’ve seen Fu in anything but Xenoverse and Hero’s! This is awesome!

I really like how everybody is involved in this Hellbreaker Arc, and adding in a set up for a future arc too. Hm? 🤔 So Piccolo is officially going for a new form cool, and it looks like even with SSJG Goku and Vegeta got a ways to go in their training. Nice showing off Beerus' strength, and what Goku and Vegeta are working towards here. Still hoping we get to see Gohan evolves his Ultimate Form maybe through the help of the Supreme Kais. Anyways another really good part, and looking forward to the next part soon.

It’s really cool seeing Towa/Mira getting some love here, being used in something that doesn’t have to do with xenoverse and time, at least not yet lol Can’t wait to see where this story goes!

Beerus wasn’t using his tail, in the microseconds that he arrived, he summoned his sword and cut Janemba.

I like that we get to see Beerus get pissed and actually do something unlike in the original DBS, this is a great rewrite so far.

I hope we have an Anti Villain & Anti Heroic Fu I loved his dragonball xenoverse self wanting to created a Bright and shining future while researching alternative futures plus it will bring the Supreme Kai of time and the time patrol into the mix despite Mira & Towa being dead

Dude please keep this, this is the most peak storytelling I've seen you write. It fixed most shxt with DBS and makes the characters true to what Buu saga tried

Hey Salad! I like the direction this story is going and also love this iteration of Beerus and the use of God ki. It’s impressive how much effort you put into this. However, I have a few criticisms and the first one is that this arc was sort of a let down. You introduced 3 new characters ( we obviously know who they are) and just as quickly as you introduced them, you got rid of them. I don’t think that’s very good writing because like yes this arc had some great consequences and yeah Towas child who is probably Fu is gonna be the next villain but it all happened so fast. A better way to do this would have probably been to introduce Towa and spend some time on her and how she freed Dabura and maybe have the two plan out the order of business. Then you could introduce Janemba, and have the things that happened with him happen. And when he is killed off by Beerus, then you could have Towa who is greatly injured, pour her life essence or energy into idk a chamber of some sort? And that chamber holds none other than Mira. That way you can save Fu for later and you wouldn’t be wasting so many new characters as soon as you introduced them. Also the Z fighters didn’t really do anything in this arc besides “hold the villains off” which is not very good considering this is a story about THEM and not the gods alone. I think the theme or message of this saga was that they are still no where near the levels of Gods and Demons and they need to work even harder, but that message wasn’t demonstrated very well I feel like. Besides these criticisms I really enjoyed this story!

This has been one of my favorites and I enjoy it greatly.

Dude I love this rewrite series and I'm curious to know what your doing with the story since I saw towa and Mira in the thumbnail also I'm curious to know what other things you might introduce in this series like would some of the actual next generation z fighters actually start training seriously

A lot of things to maybe hint for what will be focused more on the next part: - Goku and Vegeta improving and evolving Saiyan God (Maybe to even going to Super Saiyan God?) - Piccolo working to a new power - Krillin and Tien (Since we didn’t see them in this part but they are training together since part 1) - Fuu’s journey (Maybe starting a recruiting squad to help fulfill his plans…like Hearts from Super Dragon Ball Heroes Overall this is by far the best rewrite I’ve seen ever and I can’t wait to see more of it

I'm wondering how this changes will affect the zamasu arc because as it is I can only see him antagonize buu in the rewrite for being an artificial being who absorbed kai's and still living and get help from the gods Because his biggest problem was that human made mockery of God ki but now they are gods in a way

Two problems I have with this part: 1) How come Towa be such an idiot to create a being that won't listen to her? Didn't she test Janemba? Wasn't she supposed to be a genius? 2) Dabura died...again? I either wasn't paying enough attention but how? Killed by Gohan? Janemba?

An arc I want to see is the resurrection arc. Villains from the past go through the portal that opens into the living world. Plot twist: So do the Saiyans and they come in at the end. Or possibly only some Saiyans and not all.

This is great! I just wish you would also incorporate Yamcha and Chiaotzu into the story, I miss seeing them be treated respectfully :(

Knowing Fu will be involved, you should have the Supreme Kai of Time involved as well; since she's a bit different from the other Supreme Kais, her demeanor would be different from her Xenoverse counterpart, being friendlier and much more directly involved, especially with that extra form that she has.

I REALLY hope Mechikabura gets involved if the Demon Realm is gonna play this big of a part

I hope if you introduce goku black, make him related to future dabura and babidi. Like, maybe you could have babidi revive goku's dead body with his magic, and team up with zamasu. Or maybe have him possess goku's body.

This kinda reminds me of the Demon Piccolo arc from Dragonball It also makes me think on how the group as a whole could get stronger to combat the forces that keep coming after them and an idea popped in my head as I watched part 1 last night: What if Gohan became the "Son Goku" from the legends who turned Hell into his personal playground... by claiming it as his own realm? Hear me out! The Demon Realm is something that Goku has dealt with before as a child in Dragonball and, thanks to Babbidi, Gohan and co. went to the Demon Realm when he fought Dabura, now with the Demon Realm bereft of leadership Gohan, as the strongest Mortal, with the smallest amount of Godly Ki, actually has room to claim the Demon Realms energy and could use that to get stronger?
