Yikes. I’m 28 years old about to go back to college currently. I have a lot of major projects in my life I have to reset. It’s a must do. I got my associates at 26 and now back on the goal to get my bachelors which I probably won’t finish until I’m 30-31 years old. I’m positive about though but thank you for this video ❤

im 26 years old and I am going back to college after getting an English degree, working in publishing for 2 years, and then getting laid off. I 've decided to pursue pharmacy because I want to work as a clinical pharmacist but the first time I went to college I was only 17 and didn't really know what I wanted to do. So i'm going back school next January and I am super excited and nervous.

Good luck to you in comp sci, I love to see more people joining the field. I recommend you take sometime to research job demand, with tech things are always shifting so try and find out what's companies are looking for that would ensure you have the right bargaining chips to get those sweet remote jobs which everyone wants these days. Also take the time to learn as much as you can about things they don't have time to go over in great detail in class for some reason companies love the people that code in their free time, and nobody ever said you know too much for our job LOL.

The good thing about this is that your late 20's is not old at all. You're very young and employers will see this on your resume and like that fact. You still have a lot of time on your hands. I know some people who are going back to school in their late 30s and 40s. They'll be entering back into a new career field at an older age but at least they will be happy and earning more money. It's funny that I didn't get any notifications on your last 2 community messages despite ticking the 'all' box. RU-vid!? It is hard to respond to your video without leaving you an epistle. Your openness & transparency on what you choose to share, about whatever you might be going through, is hella commendable, and I am here for all of it! No one is the repository of all knowledge. Everyday we live, we learn. Nobody has it all figured out. How many people can say they have travelled to 29 countries? That's a whole lot of education that you can't learn in no brick n mortar classroom. You might also feel that PR was not a good use of your time or resources, but trust, they do say- 'no knowledge is truly lost'. You'll make use of it one way or another. You might even find yourself double backing and/or double downing on it in the future. Life is funny like that sometimes. I have a whole lot to say, but I'll leave it there (please refer to my earlier line about an epistle). Do what you love, we will all figure it out! Just turned 23! 2 weeks ago and I’m starting my freshman year this month super excited. I never thought I wanted or could go to college because of my suicidal tendencies I’m finally ready to live!

I graduated with a degree years ago, didn't have connections. Tried to get connections didn't know until later on. Might switch to computer science and coding boot camp.

31 year old freshman. 12 years as a menial laborer. Found my resolution when talking to an older worker. Who mentioned he had 25 more years to retire... Decided I couldn't do menial labor (factory work/hard labor) for 40-50 more years. If you have the mental faculties for higher education, just do it. Pick a realistic/applicable degree and get it done.

I made the decision, it seem like the only step foward in pursuing a career. I am definitely against the us post secondary education and tuition. I even joined a free college tuition campaign. I 'm low income and diagnosed disabled as well plus a unpaid full time caregiver. I have only taken non accredited certification courses all online. There's two I am debating from. Online and one on canpus. Its nice seeing others in the same mindset with a matured mindset. We come in more aware and I had 11-13 jobs the first two years high school. 😅

I currently work as Software Engineer but I’m debating getting a second bachelors for Math + CS or Electrical engineering. I’m not sure if it will be worth it but the field I want to go into is math heavy.

You did the right thing, a web devolpment certificate is better than a coding bootcamp academically.
