Going Battery? Echo DPAS 2600 56V String Trimmer 

I run a commercial lawn care company and we have gone completely electric. From battery powered grandstand to this electric echo. It’s the only way to go. Our next investment will be electric pickup trucks for the crew.

I service a lot of elderly folks early morning, I’ve always wished I had one just to keep noise down, I think I like this one too!

Something to think about with a battery trimmer: consider running smaller line to put less effort on the motor which will help batt last a little longer. Husqvarna 0.080 titanium force for example is some insanely strong line it does especially well against chain link fencing.

Great investment man I've always underestimated battery operated weed wackers until I owned one myself and it does a damn good job, and if you have an extra battery always charged up and some string you don't have to worry about nothing.

Those battery power tools are great investments. I would just recommend going with the same brands of battery power equipment, so you don’t have like 3 or 4 different batteries or chargers floating around. It gets hard juggling all those different batteries and keeping them all charged up and ready to go when needed. If you had one brand, you could keep multiple batteries on hand charged up and always have them ready to go when needed.

I have a couple battery powered lawn tools myself. I like the battery stick edger and the blower is good for light stuff.

With a little 12v to 120 inverter (big enough to power your charger) you could be charging a spare battery from your truck battery. If you were worried about running down the truck battery, get a second 12v battery that charges while the truck is running and disconnects (using a relay) from the truck alternator when the engine is not running.

If I was in the market for a new trimmer, I might consider it. However, I can still buy a lot of weed trimmer gas for near $600. Keep us updated on its performance.

Yep, bro. I drive a 1 ton. I use to keep it on full, but folks drilling holes in the tanks to steal a few gallons of gas & let the rest pour on the ground. I might try electric trimmer too as soon as I figure Echo or Husqvarna.

I've got an old gas Echo PAS 225 that I've finally worn out after 7 years. My Echo attachments would work seamlessly on the electric. If only the price for the kit was more reasonable compared to the EGO 56V multi tool trimmers.

We’re switching to that next year. Was literally just looking at it. I’ll pay for itself in a year or so.

I had to sub. Made me laugh, not at you but your excitement with the new equipment. I get that way too, lol The review was helpful. I bought the first and second versions of the Echo battery line. They keep getting better and worked out some of their issues. I'm not sure if they addressed the shafts. A few of mine broke. But I think Echo topped it out this time. I'm getting rid of my 58v Echos and replacing them with the newer 56v . Because of the improvements and going to be harder to find the batteries. And no one that I've seen makes aftermarket batteries. As simple as it sounds, the biggest improvement with the 56v is they FINALLY put on a softer trigger pull! Have no idea why they made the older version feel like you're going to the gym. No carb with springs and no throttle cable to pull.Then why such a heavy throttle for just a switch and throttle return. Anyways it's fixed now. lol

I have a echo 225 curve shaft and the pass 225 with the straight shaft trimmer, blower, and pole saw. The handles on both could be better.

Great Video the next time instead of buying a battery for $200 just buy the echo DSRM trimmer for $200 and you will have a backup trimmer plus a battery or just do that with any of the products.

I was able to get the echo 5ah battery off EBay for $100 new in package.

Husqvarna and Stihl are made in China, Echo is made in Japan. The quality of the Echo 56V range is way beyond the other guys. You were doing great, until you started with Gallons and 80 thousandth. You lost me there.
