What lies beyond the limitations of mind and body? Can the consciousness-only model account for supernatural phenomena such as astral bodies and near-death or out-of-body experiences? And can it explain what happens to us when we die or why some people claim to be able to communicate with the dead?
Rupert says that our minds and bodies are only a temporary limitation or contraction of unlimited consciousness. Upon death the body disintegrates, but the mind doesn't necessarily go all the way back to infinite consciousness straight away. There is nothing to suggest that it may not take time to go back to its source or that it may not pause and coalesce again.
And because all of our minds are localisations of the same consciousness, they are all connected. So if one mind is alive in this realm and another mind has died, there could still be some connection between.
Why? Because they're only in two different realms from the materialist perspective of the mind. From the perspective of consciousness, they're all contained in the same field.

Rupert's Consciousness only model and the way it's presented, can be seen as helpful in some sense, and also quite incoherent and quite dissatisfying in more fundamental sense. Looking at the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, a horror show, by Nature, just another reminder that life is suffering. The question still remains unanswered as ever. Why? Why does Consciousness or Nature do this to Itself? Looking back at history of life, all the bloodbath, genocides, massacres, senseless atrocities, diseases, wars... The question, why? has really never been answered other than the ten thousand guesses, from most ridiculous and insane to guesses that appears to make some tiny sense. Rupert's claim is that, Infinite Consciousness limits Itself in order to manifest its potentials. Thus, the sufferings. The question still remains unanswered. Why would the Infinite decide to limit Itself into every imaginable suffering, when It knows and experience Itself as peace and happiness? And this goes on for ever and ever? This portrays the Infinite as ultimately psychotic and the true Source of Every suffering that ever exist. It's like a man claiming to be very peaceful, while chasing everyone in the neighborhood with a chainsaw. Really? Is it really how Existence is in Itself? probably not, and certainly hope not!. It's most likely, that, neither chimpanzees nor humans got this figured out, except the chimps stays a bit more humble with less arrogance. The possibility that we may never know Existence as it is in Itself Always remains, and should remain open, rather than closed. We can easily kill it into another dead knowledge by not leaving it open . The possibility of the Unknowable and The Unknown should ever remain open. Existence as It truly is in Itself might deserve nothing less. It seems that door of possibility remains closed and shut for many thru not only ignorance, but, also dishonesty and various forms of Self deception. This may sound harsh, and like a party pooper to some who believe they have already got it all figured out. It is never, ever my intention to ruin any party for anyone including Rupert, whom I see as a very intelligent, caring human being. Having said that, I still say, we can never be too careful when it concerns the Absolute True Nature of ourselves and Existence as it is in Itself.

I humbly agree. Should one forget that no one leaves knowing all the answers then in turn one opens themselves up to interpretations and beliefs which may or may not be true. I stand firm with no beliefs, instead with a mind wide open to all beliefs/possibilities which I can choose to try on and collect instead the experience of each belief without the need to claim it as my own or correct/incorrect. In turn ripening in experience yet never growing heavier with attachments.

Focused attention on a concept opens avenues of knowing but ultimately focusing on attention is a knowing withing itself which takes you deep inside yourself and similar to a flower focusing it's attention on capturing the sunshine and nothing more should you choose to focus your attention of the fact you can notice focus vs unfocused attention there becomes room to maneuver. The distractions of unfocused attention then Focused attention becomes something to play with and deepen your experience of experiencing true Focused attention as apose to scattered unfocused attention.

Brought up in a spiritualist family as my mother was a natural clairvoyant, the mind continues after death. This is because infinite consciousness adores the experience of duality, and this duality continues for eternity. Yes the mind was created out of the One Primal essence, but once created it never ends. Mind=Soul and it never ends, and this is the angelic state of angel souls that forever live in duality and forever create, forever act for themselves, forever bringing to their own soul perceptions of the joy and gratitude of what it means to exist. That's why I insist that "we" are angelic souls in reality.

Simon C. You're absolutely right in the Ultimate sense. All our human existence, basically amounts to nothing more than the stories we tell ourselves. Some, more spiritual narratives, and some less, some, more religious narratives, and some less, some more non-dual narratives ,and some less.... With None ever being Existence as It is in Itself. We can never be too careful when it concerns the Absolute True Nature of ourselves and Existence Itself.

Everything is composed of consciousness. It is empty but there is a sprit that shines. Everything is likewise the same. If there is plus then there is minus. Day and Night. Men is not complete without woman, and vice versa.
