This video brought back many pleasant memories. I lived and worked in pre-- independence Vanuatu in the mid 1970s when the country was known as the New Hebrides. Port Vila and its environs is almost unrecognisable now but Lelepa in your video gives a flavour of what things were like back in the day. The images of the plane wreck were sobering. It looks like an Islander. I flew on many inter-island flights and I might have flown on this aircraft in the past. I like the quality of your vid.

The cave, the plane, this is such an extraordinary adventure! I would love to visit Vanuatu some time!

Love your video Zach! Since you are in Vanuatu I would recommend you to visit Rah Island Motalava in the nothern parts of Vanuatu.

I have done a bit of research and found that the sunken plane is a Britten-Norman Trislander passenger plane which was operated by Air Melanesiae in the 1970s flying between the numerous islands and I did indeed fly in it in 1978. Sadly, in 1990, when it was being operated by Vanair on approach to Bauer Field It crashed into a plantation when it suffered fuel starvation. Fortunately there were no fatalities but the plane was damaged beyond repair. It was stripped out and taken by road and sea to be sunk where it now lies to provide a dive site for tourists. I have two photographs of it when it was operational. Thanks again for reviving happy memories.

Not much in the way of bird life in Vanuatu, I have more bird species in my garden than I ever saw on 3 visits to Vanuatu.

The will of God for your salvation is not what your family or everyone else does around you, but it is what the living prophet of your time tells you. You were born alone and be aware that one day, you will die alone and also, you will go to judgment before God alone. Neither your father nor an pastor , or anyone else will answer for you.
