You want to drop the small crystals on the back, when the slidey part is all the way forward. That way, it gets behind everything and pushes it forward. If you do it on top of the pile on the slide, half of it bounces off or just stacks up. :)

I guess it's safe to assume Crystal is an epic lay. No guy would put up with that otherwise.
