I rented a small shop for about three years and was fairly successful. But just being in that shop alone all day everyday sucked. And I would often not get out there early enough and end up working all hours of the night to get projects done. I think if I had a property where I could have a welding shop in my yard I would set up another welding shop to a certain capacity. But yeah running a mobile truck is so much better. You are not tied to one place everyday. And the day to day somehow just seems easier.

I do the same thing if I have a late night I don't end up staring until 9 or 10 then the next day drags late too. I make an effort to only be in the shop 3 days a week or so

@@DarlingtonFarm renovations, woodshop, farming, guns, welding, some wise words thrown in…you’ve certainly kept it interesting. RU-vid might stop suggesting you as its algorithm steers us towards other things, but I hope your viewers keep coming back and seeing what you are up to.

I got a 10 ft 110 ton press brake I’d sell for $10k. Has a cnc backgauge. 208/230v 3ph. Works flawless, still under power and gets used every day…however I upgraded to a 14’ 200 ton so time to let the 10 footer go.

You could also (if the "Market" wasn't so rigged) lose 20% even quicker.

How do or how have you advertised? Word of mouth? How to find higher end jobs.
@DarlingtonFarm

I’m in the union building food plants and have a desire to do it on my own…. Would you recommend this? How do you go about finding jobs?
@DarlingtonFarm
@DarlingtonFarm 3 месяца назад
Keep a good set of pictures of the work you have done. Make sure you have your business stuff taken care of, LLC, insurance, Bank account, billing software and everything. There is good money in it but honestly I would wait until after the election I fear we're all n for a bumpy ride. Buy up a basic set of tools, welder l, saw blocks ECT. Breweries would be a good place to start to get some small jobs going
