Going from PLAT to UNREAL in Rocket Racing | Road to Unreal Ep 1 

Just got to plat 1 yesterday and the best advice I can give to anyone is learn the maps. Ik it’s obvious but learning the fastest routes and mastering them in every map will take you a long way I promise.

I think you're playing well, you could stand to drift a little more but that's about it.

On the first race you did, you can go above the first tunnel on the second lap and there is 2 boost pads up top

Good video 👍 btw: you need to fit in tiny drifts because that will fill up your boost and will make you go faster😅

At 9:56 you hit the greens on the ceiling then transition to the two left green boosts, then go in the tunnel, once u do that, there will be a green boost again after on the platform where you’ll be landing on, then go under to hit more boosts, then hit the ceiling green boosts, then go to the left and hit three straight green boosts, from there jump and thruster to the right where there is a sign, hit the green boost, and that’s the fastest route in that map(I’m diamond 1 which explains why I know this route)

Wow great gameplay! I have some tips if you want to get better 1. You can switch drift direction without ending and starting a new drift which can be helpful for chicanes (back to back close turns) 2. since drift charges your boost stay on the ground a bit more 3. There is a pretty powerful catch-up mechanic called drafting which makes you go much faster when you are behind someone else. Because of this, it is better to get full use out of it and try to draff to catch up, save boosts to get ahead until the last lap or if you have a full boost meter.

Coming for you sitting D1 😤 btws on rocket race - I mean outpost. Second to last straight away there's a boost pad you can flip left for that makes a big difference.

Solid gameplay, but either way here are some tips for you: Try to always stay on the ground to build up your boosts even faster unless a shortcut requires going into the air. (you go a lot faster on the ground) Drift as much as possible just don't overuse the drifting, specially on straight lines. Watch Lethamyr's all shortcuts video so will learn what are the best shortcuts for each track, even the expert ones. Try to always save up your boosts for the end of the last lap, except if you're in a bad position or you already have the three boosts ready so you can start charging up another one. You can also use boosts in straight lines during lap 1 and 2 or maybe even on the third one if you're first and want to extend your lead. Get to know each track as not all of them will let you charge boost because there are almost no curves for example in bone cavern, I honestly hate that one because there are many hazards and almost no curves so you almost always have to use boosts in that track except if you do a perfect run through the obstacles. If that's the case, save your boosts for the last lap. Never risk going for shortcuts you don't know, specially in ranked. Never use the shortcuts that don't let you charge up boost except if there is no other way where you can charge up boosts in your situation. At 6:52 you can fly around to the left instead of drifting, sort of like a shortcut, it’s good for the last lap once u save up boost, that way it’s faster and u just have boosts to win, also on 7:21 there is a green boost on ur left so u can use that as well

The tip to get better at racing except mastering the maps, you gotta drift in every sharp

At 3:20, you should jump right after u use ur drift boost or turbo, it’s weird but for some reason you’ll get down there quicker and further, I’ve learn this from watching others and I just took that

I've seen several people drifting on the side walls, but i didn't see you doing it. And flipping down when flying over the boost pads may help you

i just want to say that you should check out on top of the first bit in olympus. instead of going the way through the tunnel you can go above it and get a couple speed boosts.

In a sense I kinda love how new this game and that it’s on fortnight cuz I feel like I’m just utterlly smoking 8year olds I may never hit SSL in rocket who knows but this I’m pretty confident about hittin unreal so I’ll meet you there also your music choice is fire do you have like a playlist with all these songs?

Tip: save ur turbo for last lap And if ur at max use one if u can

When you are in the air point you joystick/wasd and click drift to attach quickly to walls it saves time if you go of a ramp or something

The very first map, Olympus I believe it's called, the very first big turn you go on when you said "I think I'm going to get motion sickness" save your boost for when at the top of that turn, jump of the top and boost downwards through the check point, you save a MASSIVE amount of time off of your pace, around 4-6 seconds and skip all of that ground you would have to drive through.

I tried to do the same, getting to Unreal. I'm stuck at Diamond II rank, but not for the reason you think. The problem for me is not so much "the competition", but rather it's the SUPER LONG wait times for the next race. It seems like it gets worse the higher rank you go. It's so bad, I even made a support ticket in hope of them fixing it.

Im in Diamond and all i can say is F Epic! Getting 1% to 2% after getting 1st place is a war crime 💁

This game is literally impossible to players with old gen consoles. I play better then everyone at my rank but I start last EVERY game because my game loads last, and my console can’t even load the game in fast enough, the starting lights literally load at different speeds or all at the same time or everyone just goes before the green light has even gone. Then I get spun out by everyone because I can’t get a head start. Hardly ever get above a 30% boost because of it
