I am now going to read the heart of a raven king, wear the same headphones, and listen to violin Taylor swift songs.

my library does this normally 4 times a year and I haven't ever gotten a bad book. the librarian is so good at picking

At my local small bookstore, the owner does this. I go in, give her a few genres or authors I like and she takes time to walk around picking out books🥺 she does an amazing job and I've never gotten a bad rec, there's just something so special about it, idk

I don't know why, but whenever I see you loving a fantasy book, it's so satisfying some reason lol

Something else that came to mind: I find it so interesting you listen to book-related music when reading books. Maybe you can do a video sometime on how you choose the music you listen to while reading and what kind of music you search for with each theme. I would definitely like to try that for myself!

I’ve been wanting to do a ‘blind date with a book’ for the looooongessst time, this is def a sign to do it now.

I'm really glad you enjoyed this experience, booktube makes me sad because everyone prioritizes what everyone else is reading instead of just picking things up

SUCH a cool idea. When I was younger there wasn't a book community the way there is now that you could get recommendations from (unless the book got super popular like twilight, etc.), so now we're all reading the same things lol. But its so refreshing to take a chance and read something that everyone might not know about yet and have it turn out to be an undercover gem!!

I accidentally ran across the heart of the raven prince on my kindle and read it because of the pretty cover and I loved it just as much as you! It was fantasy without being overwhelming and I never felt like I had to force myself to read it, I flew through it so i’m so glad you like it!!

I was very surprised to see that the second book was published recently. It 100% looks like a book I would find in my moms collection from decades ago! This seemed like a ton of fun, maybe I’ll give it a go 😊

If you love Cinderella retellings you should read Cinder! It’s the first book in the lunar chronicles

seeing as u really liked Heart of the Raven Prince i HIGHLYYY recommend Cinder (the Lunar Chronicles), it's a cinderella retelling but in a sci-fi kind of set up and i think you'll really like it + it's the first part of a series so if u like this book u can read the rest of the series as well

I don’t know if you’ve read any more Tessonja Odette books since but they’re all such feel good HEA Fae books!! You don’t have to read any of them in order but it’s so much fun to! She’s definitely my favorite author for feel good romantasy. The sleeping beauty retelling is so so good

I’m gonna try the fae princess retelling series and I get a feeling I’m going to binge it ALSO I’d highly recommend the Lunar Chronicles!!! It’s the same concept of fairy tale retellings (Cinderella, Rapunzel, etc.) with a fantasy sci/fi romance twist

You should read "Remember me always" by Renee Collins it had me second guessing my life, I would do anything to read it for the first time again and it has the best plot twist at the end.

Ahh next time you gotta get a blind date with a book that has a little description written on the front so you can kind of make your choice based off of that. Also, I recommend reading Things We Do in the Dark by Jennifer Hillier - I had so much fun reading this thriller.
