Love this hotel! They put us up there when we had my husbands dream foundation trip. His last wish was to dance with our daughter (who was 5) at the time in front of the castle before he passed from cancer. This hotel staff rolled out the red carpet. They went above and beyond for our family. We were in one of the rooms with large balconies that we were able to watch the fireworks from. It was amazing! If anyone from Grand Cypress is reading the comments, we will never forget how special you made us feel!

It'd be nice if he opened up his palette a little more, I feel like most of the time it's burgers and very safe basic menu items. I would love to see him explore more dishes out of his comfort zone. It's just like the old saying "you don't know until you try"
If you don’t eat seafood you would totally understand. I don’t eat seafood. I understand where he’s coming from. But I try everything else I come across. It’s not the end of the world.
OMG Richard Blasé. Unreal. He is so over-the-top inventive. Would love to check out his restaurant. And those cocktails. The Key Lime & Coconut looks soooooo refreshing. But looks like this event has Jenn written all over it - all that seafood. Poor Tim. Need to check out his restaurant here in CA.
The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is my most favorite place on earth. I go there every year to celebrate my birthday with an overnight stay, a massage at Marilyn Monroe Spa, dinner at what used to be Hemingway's and night time pool fun. The water sports are fun during the day, as are the biking and jogging trails. I worked at the hotel when it first opened when I was only 19 years old. I fell in love with it then and told myself one day I will come back as a guest. Back then it was THE place to stay for celebrities and golfer's because there were no other high end hotels in the area at that time. Thanks for including Merlot (the bird) and his handler Tim! Tim has been there almost since they first opened and is a joy to talk to for he has so many grand memories of the hotel. We were all sad that Hemingway's closed but excited that Four Flamingos 🦩 took over the old spot. The food looked amazing! I have reservations there this week!
Richard Blais is my all-time favorite chef on Top Chef! I hope he has great luck with this restaurant. If I lived in the Orlando area I'd be there tomorrow.
Those magnificent dishes are literally a work of art!! Everything looks soooooo delicious!!! And that cocktail smoke bubble gun? Duuuuuude!!! I’d use that on everything I make!! Disney should totally buy them for their restaurants
I love this hotel. I am also an Orlando local, and I have bought a resort passes to use this pool. It is so so nice. Resort passes are about $25 a day. It's one of my favorite things to do when I have friends in town.
The hotel looks amazing. Love the calming atmosphere with the water features. The food also looked wonderful. I love how they are supporting local producers. Great video x
Stayed here about a year ago and it’s possibly my favorite. Great customer service, awesome hotel, amazing pool/slide, the macaw is so cute and overall great resort. The one drawback is the jacuzzi. If you come when it’s cold it will be crowded due to how small it is and kids aren’t supervised. However, I would stay again and book a pool view the sound of the water was amazing.
The chef describing the red snapper needs to pull her mask up !!!!!!!! As someone working in the healthcare industry, a cook/ chef INCLUDING Chef Blais should be wearing on around food. AND indoors.
I stayed there a very very long time ago for a conference and it was so much fun seeing it again. I remember eating at Hemingways (now 4 Flamingoes) and it was really good then. Can't even imagine how wonderful it will be now. It definitely was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. And I could take a shuttle right over to Disney. Hope you go back for a hotel tour!
If I still drank, that Key Lime with a Coconut drink looks, and sounds, really good. Love that dish with the smoke bubble in it - the chef not wearing the mask correctly, and her nose exposed, not so much! All of that food looked really pretty but because of the ingredients (don't eat seafood r foie gras), none of it appealed to me personally, although that Tomahawk and chimichurri looks DELICIOUS. They sure do love their smoke bubbles and liquid nitrogen here, huh? I will say I did eat lunch at this resort MANY years ago (mid 90's) several times, and it was always delicious. It was at a restaurant down a spiral staircase (I think I'm remembering right) next to a gorgeous "waterfall" down a marble wall, and was a gorgeous setting. And the outside "rock grotto" pool areas were stunning. ROTFL at "about two cabanas, need 1 more" - good one, Time! :) ocially distanced hugs from New Jersey to you and Rob, the whole family, and all the gorgeous fur babies! Maybe because I’m from the UK but it all seems like theatre to justify paying ridiculously high prices. The lady chef having her mask below the nose bothered me too. I’m sure the food tastes good though.

Interesting...I used to work at HRGC in it's pre-opening Catering & Convention Services dept. So glad to see it again. It's a gorgeous property and was a great place to work. Still have friends from there! I remembered Hemingway's. They had THEE BEST KEY LIME PIE! Next time I'm in Orlando, I will have to give this place a try! Thanks for sharing, Tim! Merry Christmas!

What a beautiful hotel and restaurant! I'm not a seafood person but the steaks looked really good. I love the creativity with the bubble on top of the food and that drink. Is it a higher end hotel? Thanks for bringing us along 😁. Huge hugs and love to you guys xoxo

Is it just me or does this chef look A LOT like Jesse Tyler Ferguson(Mitchell from Modern Family)?! I seriously just googled to see if they were like brothers or whatever because I couldn't remember JTF's full name. But not related at all LOL Also SO much fish and seafood though, totally up Jenn's street for sure! :-) Aww man...only about 2 cabanas? What crazy number of cabanas is that?!
Such a pretty resort. Might not be my kind of restaurant, I'm like Tim, not a huge fan of seafood. I do eat shrimp and lobster so there is that. I'm not a fan of seeing the kitchen. I grew up in a restaurant family so I'm well aware of what goes on in the kitchen and for me eating in the kitchen was sort of a punishment.
