a ton maybe 4/5 you never notice them but looking back at different spots you pass you will notice how many you have missed if you have those dino's highlighted

i like the green zones lighting, it really makes it look like light from the sun if peaking through cracks. The blue zone is bright, when in ASE it was very dark, but you could always make everything out because of bioluminescence. I haven't seen the red zone yet. Overall I think it's pretty good.

Stegos are actually my favorite early tames for this map. When you put on the blue plate (heavy plate?) you apply a knockback and slow to all enemies. You can easily take on spinos, Karkinos, and a whole pack of ravagers without dying. It's actually insane.

@ 16:00 they updated the AI a while back to see structures and avoid them. As an example the dino gates are a solid wall to them so they won't walk in. To beat that you can stand right outside and make them melee you into the trap which will cause them to take a step forward into the trap. Alternatively there are a few weird traps that don't appear as traps to dinos (using the secret door for example).

To make the fake base looked lived in with minimal effort you could use a few fence pieces and gate a small area and put a porkchop in it. Love your content!

Ravagers have bleed when they're wild. They lose that effect once tamed. They've never had bleed while tamed.

Sorry but that is not true. Back when aberration released on Ase they had bleeding when tamed and in fact the bleeding was so op in terms of dmg they nerfed it after a couple of hours after release

@@noxlol8455 ah, well I wasn't aware of that. They've always had bleed when wild but never had bleed when tamed in all the time I played, so I wasn't aware of that, but it doesn't surprise me. Bleed is a strong mechanic in many games.

Damage for ravagers scales with pack size in ASA. Even a really high melee one sucks until you get 3 or 4 riding along. Then you get crazy damage from all your pack mates. And the AI on them is much better than normal dinos so they rarely get stuck or lost.

I found that if you’re far enough away from the trap, 1 high walls work because the ravager won’t jump. It’d be safer to have 2 high, or 1 and railings (save resources?), but it’s not necessary.

Unless they changed it (in wich case i apologize), putting hardened plates mode on stego gives it dmg resistance, you take less straight up damage from attacks (not from status effects)

I’ve just watched Axe’s latest video where he kills a lvl 140 ravager by the place syntac has also found a 140 ravager. So either there’s 2 140 ravagers or this taming attempt doesn’t end well. Update, looks like there must’ve been 2.

Not sure what the odds of you seeing this are, but creature AI in ASA is different now, they no longer follow you into enclosed spaces. You can't just walk them into a box and close the door behind them anymore

Is this intentional though? Feels like a bug. My tamed creatures don't know how to follow me anymore. Even with no obstructions, they'll be going all over the place or in circles lol

The creature AI for running is there to "try" to get the creature out of harms way to prevent easy taming or killing. This typically happens when the creature can't get to the player (like they are on a large rock, or in this example, Bola'ed). After they reach a certain distance from the player (different per creature), they will resume their attack AI.

Aberration's Ascended map seems to look a lot nicer on PC. I've found that on Xbox (Series X), the Fertile biome has some *really* brightly lit areas due to the sunlight filtering down from the surface, and the god rays/pools of light and shadow shoot around periodically as the day progresses. It certainly breaks the immersion, quite a lot. PC seems to have a bit more of that dimly-lit "muted sunlight" look that I remember from ASE. In terms of Ravager bleed, though, tamed Ravagers cannot inflict the Gnashed debuff.

wildcard should give tamed ravagers the bleed back but take away the slowing affect. there is no reason why they should not have it when we have things like reapers in the game. they can also reduce the bleed damage if need be.

Ravagers definitely feel like they become obsolete in the late mid-game/early end-game especially in ASA with the newer Dino’s that are just better Especially since you can’t really take them into the red zone for long. Bleed would honestly make them at least viable for the Rockwell fight with their pack buff (if heavily mutated) but I suppose they may be incapable of bleeding a boss if bleed was added back to them.

I remember that Halloween update iirc it was canceled because someone at wildcard had a last minute meeting or something. They gave us the werewolf hat and vampire eyes skins as a consolation but it was still super disappointing.

The ravagers weight reduction is basically the same as an argy with the addition of ab resources like gems im pretty sure, theyre pretty sweet for the few maps that dont allow fliers

There does seem to be a metal issue, pretty sure in ASE AB on that island near Glowtail cave just below portal starting zone, it had some rich nodes like 3 or so, but when I went there only found 3 strange looking patches where I recall the nodes used to be, so they are either removed or bugged. As for the name... Reminds me a bit of "Stripe" from the Gremlins movie

The pathfinding fixed the follow of the dinos but now they don't go in traps. Like Scorched earth and the center. Protect yourself in traps work best.

For metal nodes check up high and in nooks and crannies, most metal nodes spawn in groups of 2-4 unless in the blue zone, in blue zone the nodes look like regular rocks and the high quality metal nodes have blue glowing veins on them

This makes me think of a funny joke for axe. Tame a low level ravager, put it on aggressive, keep it inside one of those 1x1 huts and tell axe you have a gift for him up the hill 😂
