Couldn't agree more with @Anonatemymom. We might be like 'oh man X member is rude..not helping Siyu or whatsoever' but at the end of the day, had we been in their shoes, our reaction would be like Shua too. The survival instincts kick in at the moment Though, it's creepily entertaining how they made this gose!! 🤣 can't wait for next week's ep

It took until about 18 minutes for me to get the concept (I think), and it's really cool. If the concept is the cloning, it's like, every time a pair gets caught - a new pair (of clones) wakes up and there will be a new picture warning them about whatever it was that caught the previous pair. Hoping that by the end the final pair might have enough information from all the "failed" attempts to escape fully. This is a really cool idea! It's like an escape room, but very unique.
ahh yeah I didn't notice that at first, I was asking why Hoshi and Dino didn't get the warning pictures and shua & cheol didn't get the warning to not release that man
This is super late but youre so right. I think the pairs after Hoshi and Dino are supposed to be their clones. I was also a bit confused on why the pictures were randomly showing up but i think i have an actual explanation for it. When Shua and S.Coups went into the research room there was documents of past patients and some notes talking about how some clones are trying to escape based on memory alone. I think the pictures on the wall arent just directions/clues but memories of past clones basically telling them what they should and shouldnt do (since in a way they already experienced it)

와 디노랑 호시를 첫 번째에 넣은 건 진짜 잘한 듯 무서워하면서도 같이 무서워할 수 있게 진짜 호들갑 떠는 게 아니라 오싹한 분위기를 만들어줄 수 있는 차분하게 무서워하는 애들 조합이라 더 몰입하게 되는 듯 (사실 너무 몰입해서 진짜 7분짜리를 몇 번을 멈춰가면서 봤는지)

Just started watching GoSe21 and this is one of the best concepts ever. The place looks like something straight out of Dishonored 2 in Dr. Hypatia’s lab.

Another legendary Going Seventeen episode has been born quick theory: - Ego is based on your other self, which also refers to your clone - the members who die will actually be cloned and respawned back to the first room (where they wake up) - the pictures are actually memories of the previous pair because basically THEY ARE THE CLONE of each other - this will continue over and over until a pair gets to escape using all of the memories of their past clones
But there are 13 members, so one of them will be alone right? So one member won't be cloned in the end ....? I wonder how that will work 🤔 it could mean that one of the members is actually the surgeon that's killing everyone.

i'm convinced if jeonghan and joshua were paired together they would've made it very far far, they were both convinced that saving the man would've been more trouble than it's worth not to mention it felt like hannie already new something was going to happen bc of siyu ( which might be the reason why he kept using him for the dangerous parts ) also the second he heard siyu scream, he looked done.

Did you guys notice the reaction of the guys when they first saw Siyu tied up? Joshua: Hesitant but made sure not to untie him. Scoups: didn’t untie him at first since he was with Shua but the moment Shua was gone and more fear settled in, he didn’t hesitate. DK: untied him after a few questions. Jeonghan: Hesitated, wasn’t sure if untying him was the right thing. Joshua and Jeonghan were more suspicious, they relied on their brains whereas Scoups and DK relied more on their emotions. You can really see how the members vary here
It think because they might symbolize the rationality and emotional part of our brain. Logic and Emotion. As per in scientific sense, it really relates to the mind or psyche of the person. Need observation for this one. I really love it.
Jeonghan sensed the betrayal, I can feel it. He knew stuff was gonna happen if they saved Siyu...He looked so unafraid when Siyu screamed, just stood still as if he knew this guy would betray them at some point.

ALSO DONT YOU GUYS THINK THE THEME FEELS LIKE THEY WERE BEING IN A VIDEO GAME? i mean, everytime a pair gets killed, they're re-spawned and go back to the start when they wake up in a white gown to getting clues all over again. they're clones to each other and the photos beside them when they woke up is a proof that they've been experimented in that facility. if only they had their previous memory of that, they could easily escaped, thus the title of this episode is EGO which is to depend on your instinct without dumping the rationality

So in the report, it was stated that the subjects were trying to escape using their memories. And then, everytime the a member died, they received some photos as clues. That means, the subjects who tried to escape are the same person and the photos are their memories? This is mind-blowing 🤯🤯 how they can come up with this kinda concept?! It's really scary and creepy but it's really interesting and fun to watch in the same time. I really hope that the subjects can manage to escape😣😣 Edit - my carat friend thinks that the mastermind for this game is mingyu?!!! Bcus the researcher at the beginning was holding the gun with his left hand??? And mingyu is the only one who is left-handed in the group???????? Too many possibilities. And I'm rewatching this episodes again and it still give me goosebumps as if its my first time watching this 😭 (I think I already watch this episodes more than 10 times ever since) and still waaahhh baksuu!! watching these EGO series for the first time (slowly getting to know svt) and all I have to say that *this idea is brilliant*! I was wondering why Dino and Hoshi didn't have any hints, while Scoups and Shua did, but then when Jeonghan and DK got the extended version of the first pair + second, everything clicked! at 13:30 when Scoups was reading the papers it was said "the subject tried to escape relying on his own memories" AND IT JUST MAKES SENSE! They are clones of each other, with every pair of people exploring more and more, and this is why Scoups and Shua "remembered" that they shouldn't open that cabinet, because Dino was caught like that... too long comment but I'm just so excited to watch it haha
This ep really brings out the members personalities lol Hoshi: still bubbly even when scared Dino: our maknae 🥺🥺 Joshua: calm and courageous SCoups: brave Dk: he’s so nice 😭😭 Jeonghan: 🧠🧠🧠

Okay, this has to be one of the best GoSe episodes I've seen so far. OMG THIS IS INTENSE!! The concept is amazing, the place they scouted is PERFECT, the story is captivating and thrilling, the work the staff put into all this is INSANE and the actors are doing such an amazing job that I was captivated the entire time! My god, this is a MASTERPIECE!!! All the kudos, brownies and cookies for the GoSe team because my god.. this is an EXPERIENCE FR FR If I'd be there, even though I'd know it's face and all- I'd be scared out of my mind!
This episode is on a WHOLE another level. Going Seventeen is more than just a variety show. It's a whole ass game show with multiple levels that covers every genre.

-I have a feeling the last pair is gonna save the others...Since this is connected to cloning then maybe the picture could represent each of their memories, like how we can see the clues increasing every time someone is captured. - I'm focusing mainly on the fact that the one who opened the cabinet was Hoshi but Chan was the first one to be captured. And Scoups opened the door but Shua was captured first. DK untied the rope but the masked guy went to Jeonghan first. -Also, I feel like Siyu was experimented on something different since he wasn't wearing something similar and he wasn't in the same place at the start so he was probably not part of the cloning or maybe he could have mental issues(Trauma, brainwashed) or is a failed experiment. He looked possessed when he screamed. -This is more than an illegal cloning experiment in my opinion. I feel like there is something more to it since there really aren't many clues for now but the cabinet with the lock did seem like there was something important in it. This is focusing on clones and etc but I haven't seen them read or mention anything about DNA (well it's not really needed but it still lingers in me) which is possibly something to be shown in the next episode. I think this cloning experiment is focusing on their brain and how they think especially cuz ECT was also mentioned -So the final members would be 3 people right or 1 might go solo? Well, I'll assume they're testing the clones they made. They wanna see if the first pair of clones will be able to properly send their memory somehow to the other clones basically. -Another thing I noticed is that the mysterious thing in 2:04 kinda reminds me of a marionette (Controlling the people just like Siyu) and it could also represent connecting to make clones. Somatic cell lysis was also there so basically they are like lab rats. Phosphatidylcholine is also a chemical in eggs, mustard, and other foods, seeing that it caused respiratory arrest means that there was really a lot that they used. To add, choline is important for memory, It can help boost cognitive function. -And they may or may not be dead yet cuz it was only shown that they were captured so yeah hehe (Also If I made mistakes and have some kind of wrong information then I apologize. I only got it by reading some simple research.) TO SUMMARIZE: The 'clues' or 'pictures' are more like memories of the pairs before them so it looks like the memories were transferred or were added to every next pair. If we basically think of them as clones, Dino and Hoshi as the first pair to test if it was successful. In the end, one of them might be the doctor IDK but we will see or it could be that the last pair could save the other clones. THIS IS WHY I LOVE GOSE! There is one main person and their supposedly going to copy that person's DNA and all stuff to clone them. But who? Who exactly are they trying to copy? -If we think of it like a game. There was something written on the ripped paper on the wall that said "Can a cloned human become a real human being?". So there is basically a motive that I'm very curious about. Also scoups read something about "The subject tried to escape relying on his own memories" which could also be representing DIno and Hoshi since they also tried to escape without clues and etc meaning they only had their own memories....... -Another thing I noticed, WHICH KINDS CREEPS ME OUT, is that they may have been captured before and they tried to escape but they all failed. So they were experimented on and lost the memories they had of escaping now it was back to start and the future pairs have to rely on the first pairs. -If this would be connected to bad clue then that means they are clones of themselves who died in the massacre in bad clue (Well i'm kinda thinking too far haha) I remember in the end of bad clue Park Taesan's diary was found but it was cut and nothing else was mentioned afterwards. -Bad clue and ego are the only ones with storylines right? Coming back here after watching the 2nd episode of this series. I must say, Going Seventeen is the real deal! This is Really crazy! CRAZY GOOD CONTENT! GOSE should get an award for best idol variety show! Plus, Seventeen members are really next level entertainers! Each member having his own special charm. It's honestly crazy!!!!
