Nice build! I made mine with rctimer 7" carbon fiber props on 1450kv - 1806 motors back in 2015. got over 20 mins of FPV flight time on 2s under 250g :)
I think if you make it that instead of flying it in the X configuration make it into the + configuration, i think that would make it more stable, i saw this video of this little drone called Toronto micro marathoner that does the + shape.
When people start realizing that ANYTHING over 4 inch will be a thing of the past and start building sub 250 or anything under 3.5 inch to law isnt going to weigh the drone if its under that size. The FAA wants all DRONES that can carry a GoPro with RID to keep people from flying huge rigs
TBH this is a lot like gun control. The only way to fight it is mass non-compliance. People might have taken the FAA more seriously if they didn't let entire Chinese aircraft fly uninterrupted. At this point no one really cares about regs unless you are doing this for commercial purposes. Of the drones I see at the park, I doubt any of them have done the free cert course or weighed their setups.
