I have a standard 2012 Boss 302 Mustang and the sound of this car is awesome ! It is so cool to see one of these cars perform on the track in competition through the windshield, This is quite a show !! Thanks for posting this video.
@@REDZ28won drag racing is so easy..... It's for pussies who are scared of turns.......heel to toeing while fighting in a dog fight for 1st is hard........
Thanks for sharing this - absolutely fantastic racing with Jeff and Mike. Took a lot of laps, a lot of patience, and the right traffic to get Mike - he was just getting off the Ridge complex and onto the front straight so well!
I love how you were killing the camaro and bmw after that hard downhill into a right hand turn, really out braking them and sticking it in those few turns afterwards
I'm noticing a pattern of fast Ford Mustangs coming out of the Pacific Northwest. Great job driving. You had some hero moments and there were a couple of hero oppertunities. But overall very skilled and competent race. One of the better runs I've been prevaleged to ride along with. Thank you #221533
I did, it's almost sad in a way seeing it but glad it's being put to good use! The FD looks awesome and I hope all is well, neat we were running together in the same race all these years later. See you at the next one!
Great video thanks for posting. You really know how to drive your car with willingness to push to the edge. What I would like to know is what is the car doing on the straightaway? I'm guessing your moving between 120 to 140 mph and it looks like the cars is wobbling a little. Don't see it in the steering wheel. Is downforce pushing on the car? Just wondering.
David Davis thank you! We just looked it up on the AiM data and GPS speed at the end of the straight in the boss was 152mph. What happens is actually the hood starts buffeting around a little bit at those kind of speeds, the car is actually very settled and no drama at those speeds! For reference, the car does 156mph at Portland without the chicane. Thank you for the comment 👍
Thank you! I started out in go karts and worked my way up from there, progressively going quicker each season in different karts and cars. There are plenty of affordable ways to get your feet wet to see if racing is something you love. Shoot me an email and I'll try my best to help anyone looking to get involved, brody@brodygoble.com.
Is it just me, or do the Camaro's tail lights change configuration with every touch of the brakes? That was the car to beat, methinks! Just about ruined my undies watching this from the safety of my desk.
Nice drive! Reminds me of Rose Cup in Portland, in years when cars in the IT class numbered in the 50's, working through all the BMW's, Miatas, older cars etc while trying to dice with guys in your class...Great stuff! Are you running ITS? What kind of lap times does you Mustang run at PIR? (Chicane in) Thanks - great footage, brings back some fond memories.
The guy in the mustang is definitely a better driver. If he had some more power he would have checked out. Not bashing the camaro, just saying. Awesome stuff.
Just my opinion, but these two cars with the same drivers, no other cars on track.....Mustang wins. Camaro is fast, can't take that away, but the Mustang driver is better. Bash me me if you will, it's just obvious.
The Camaro isn't actually a Camaro, it is a Trans-Am TA2 car which is a tube chassis race car with Camaro looking bodywork over top. The main penalty with our production based Mustang BOSS 302S is the weight as it is approx 700 lbs heavier than the tube chassis TA2 cars.
What the hell was that BMW doing?? He needs to get out of the way. That car was....awful wide. The BMW’s just cannot brake and turn with the Mustang and Camaro.
