The soul has dark nights ?

These dark nights of the soul are very trying and hurt so very much, but what for, what is the reason for them. Would an almighty loving spirit really allow this & for what purpose?? I am confused to why any soul any entity in any dimension has to endure hurt??

We're born into a family or environment that creates a narrative for our subconscious mind. A narrative that then solidifies into an identity and a perception of life that then creates a paradigm of life. The dark night of the soul is the stripping of the identity of that programming and perception created of half-truths, biases that are not our own, falsehoods and pretense in order to see what's actually there through the eyes of our creator. We see the dark night as a negative because most people experience it as the result of a tragedy in their life. The more peaceful process is through spiritual devotion. It is not God's punishment when bad things happen as people have free will, but it is certainly God's loving grace and mercy that is there to pick up the pieces and put us lovingly and gently back together again IF we allow for the time the brokenness, the healing and the learning of lessons take. Never quit. God bless you.

@@JEHOVAH485 -- I have been on a constant loop of anger and fear. Every evening I try to surrender it and every morning it starts up again. Surrender feels equal to the sudden, unexpected abuse that came out of nowhere as a kid and teen, unsafe. I have no idea how to explain to a giant HABIT that it's safe to give up! Any reference to where to go on that I'd appreciate. Thanks for the previous post Lynn. Hugs from Canada

@@Author_Alyssa_Taylor Dear Moi, The scripture God gave me after my son's death which precipitated my dark night of the soul is 2 Timothy 1:7 "God has not given me a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power (in my body), love (in my heart) and a sound mind (in my thinking)." He gave me this scripture as a guide to my healing journey, but ONLY AFTER I had a breakthrough in seeing how I was marginalizing His power in my life by subconsciously viewing His love through the lens of the "love" I'd experienced from my earthly father. My dad was narcissistic, bombastic, withholding and a braggert, but I was in love with my daddy despite the tremendous sadness and pain his indifference caused. I consciously knew that God loved me, but I was subconsciously attributing the attributes of my dad on God, my Father. When God brought that understanding to the surface, I truly had a breakthrough. As I looked back over my life I saw God's faithfulness to me and his protection so many times and in so many ways. The kicker was realizing how tender and loving, personal and intimate He was and how distant, skeptical and untrusting-HOW UNLOVING I WAS TOWARD HIM. I would suggest exploring through Journaling your beliefs around the subject of God's love for you. In my opinion, this is foundational. Our anchor must be in our creator-our constant, unchanging, loving Father. In His eyes, we see ourselves as we truly are-how He sees us-beauttiful, perfect and whole. Once that Truth is planted in our hearts, it produces life- growth of more and greater Truth that supplants all the lies that have ruled our bodies, hearts and minds. Only after we have a revelation of God's love for us will we have the Trust and Confidence IN HIM to bring us through. We're not surrendering to other people or to our way of thinking or our habits; we are surrendering to LOVE Himself and as we draw closer to His Light, we are effortlessly purified of the dross-the habits. Any "suffering" is the surrender to Love and merely a wrong way of thinking-something we offer to God as a sacrifice as He walks us through the process of ssnctificstion. I hope this helps. Please feel free to follow up if something wasn't clear. God bless you.❤
