i know that MLS often gets derided by fans of soccer from Europe, but next time I'm in Orlando on holiday I need to get me to a game. that stadium looks amazing.
What a fun video! I'm not big into soccer, but it would be fun to go to a game like that. Downtown Orlando looks really pretty at night. Would love to see more of that area. Thanks Tim!
You have to be a real soccer fan to find it interesting and it comes in the heart.....baseball and football is more boring in my opinion and oooh tim,you can find the order of the chants in their page and after a win or a draw we get half price off papa johns pizza so that's always good
I went to the Copa America games in Orlando in the summer, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Not just the atmosphere of the stadium, but the city in general is just amazing and all the amusement parks lol. I am definitely considering moving there. that's how much of a good impression it leftme
Tim the next time you go to Ireland go to a Hurling match in Croke Park or a Rugby match in the Aviva, they're both massive stadiums and both sports are intense
I've never seen so much support for soccer in America as in this video. The last time I saw a soccer game was when I played on an after school team in 3rd grade lol. Not really a soccer fan. As much as I've tried to get into it, I just can't (same with hockey).
I'm from Philly!! My dad is actually a season ticket holder and founding member of the Philadelphia Union. We try to go to every game but we also try to sell them too. I also just met almost the whole team team at a meet n greet. They were all so nice and talkative to the fans. But we have great seats first row of section a in section 125 we're practically on the field besides the on field seats. Even my dad's name is on the bottom of our 2 seats. But I love going to the games too. The atmosphere is so exciting and fun at Talen Energy. GO UNION!!!!
MLS games are so much fun! I've never been to a game that was boring- even 0-0 games. The chants & "songs" are usually started in the "couldron" (That's what the section of hardcore fans at Sporting KC is called- you'll pick up on that area @ your stadium pretty quickly. Usually directly behind the goal.) At the beginning of each game a chant sheet is passed out with words to all the chants. We get our directions from a big bearded fellow with a drum. May 13th will be a great day for you to go to another Orlando City game 😂 Once you get the soccer bug... it doesn't go away
You guys should totally take the Amtrak! You could go to Disneyland on the Amtrak. I would recommend getting a sleeper car. It's so much fun and your food is included. it's a great way to see the country
I loved taking the Amtrak, the last time I did it I was very young but I have great memories of it. We took an overnight trip to Washington D.C. from an origin I can't remember, and it was so much fun.
Awesome video Tim. loved seeing the Orlando soccer team. it was such a great video. I went to Universal yesterday and I rode jimmy fallon. it was a pretty good ride. the line queue was the best part
Amtrak is fun as long as you get your own sleeper with a bathroom. It's pretty expensive but it makes for a nice relaxing trip if you're not in a hurry. This soccer game was a lot of fun too. And I'd love to see you guys go to a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game sometime as well. That would be awesome.
I'm impressed, the football might not be as good as English or European Football but it is also about the atmosphere in the stadium which is amazing in both England and Other European leagues. This looked really good albeit American Style 😀
What a fun video! I love that you're showing us something different and unique that you did, Tim. Don't listen to the detractors. You know, it's nice to see that Soccer/Football is making a bit of a comeback... at least down there in Orlando! It's huge in literally all other countries but the US (and Canada because, well, Ice Hockey). I remember as a kid in the 1980's, every kid I knew played soccer. Now, good luck finding more than just a passing interest, in youth and adult lifestyles. It looked like a lot of fun! I would never be able to stand up for an entire game, but more power to that supporter's section for their willingness to do so! The purple smoke was really cool too.
I'm so glad you had a good time. I went to every Toronto FC home match for 8 years until I moved to the west coast. It's a really great communal experience. Plus your great Striker is Canadian!!
This is great! Always wanted to go to an Orlando game. I love going to my hometown team games Toronto FC. Such a blast! Just saw Orlandos playing Toronto May 3rd...miiight have to get tix! :)
Do you understand the game of football (soccer) as it seems you were unsure of what was happening. Did you film the goal or did you miss it as I don't remember seeing it. The football matches here in the uk are sooooo much fun and plenty of chanting between fans before and after the match. Great video. ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
i just took the amtrak to and from nyc (about 10 hours each way). it's definitely worth it - you see things you otherwise never would! totally recommend it!
Loved this vid Tim !!' In the uk football ( soccer) is massive !! It's on tv in my house most days my hubby is The manger of my sons team who train and play every weekend. 🙄 and going to the big games are the best !! The atmosphere is amazing!! We're Arsenal fans 👍🏻 we got my son the Orlando city shirt when we came over last year, he loves it. Xx
I'm amazed at how friendly your "soccer" (football) fans are hahaha! Ours are swearing, screaming, throwing stuff, very drunk but all having a laugh hahaha not all of them, of course! :D
Orlando played my Union that night. I live in Trenton New Jersey as we have the Philadelphia Union, Red Bull New York, and New York FC for the MLS, Tim
Tim, your enthusiasm for soccer (football) was great, so glad you got in to it and it was only a 1-0 score. I have to say i was impressed by the stadium and crowds, 50k is pretty good for an MLS stadium. Will follow Orlando City progress through the season here from Gibraltar. Oh and you on public transport was so funny, i guess you don't use it that much :)
BTW, the chanting is generally lead by a core group of fans that you'll probably find will go to all the away games too. And the chants can get quite "fruity" too :)
Tim's reaction to the game is so funny! The bleachers were shaking because everyone was jumping around and everything and poor Tim was standing there! I'm laughing so hard right know! This is why I love this channel!! :D
Hi guys on Sat 8th April in magic kingdom there is going to be a British to show called ant and dec's Saturday night takeaway filming a live episode from the park for there final episode of the year thought it would be cool to check out love you guys x
Hey Tim! I enjoyed the video and watching you experience the game. I'm planning to watch an Orlando SC game over the summer and those seats look great! What section and row were your seats in? I'd love to get the same or similar seats! Thanks.
A lot of "british chants" are just american folk songs re-worded to fit each specific club. Also Orlando City chants tend to have a more Latin flair to them.
Amtrak is not fun, it's very sloooow and frustrating. I took an Amtrak from Indiana to Orlando and it was just one problem after another. It takes 2 hours to fly that trip, and the train takes nearly 2 days, yet coats about the same.
Hey guys!! Love your videos...ever think about a Detroit Tigers preseason game? Ive seen Jen sporting some Tigers Merch...Love them Motor City Kitties ❤ Thank you for all your informative vlogs!! you've helped me plan 3 trips to Disney World so far 😃
I really enjoyed this video Tim. I traveled to Philadelphia (Im from the UK) a couple of years ago to work for a couple of months and went to see a Philadelphia Union game. It was very interesting how you guys set up your stadiums for football (Soccer for you :) ). Also the stand where you have your guys standing with the drums and the smoke flares, looks awesome, I wish we had stands allocated like that. We have "terraces" but its literally a free for all.... Plus no flares allowed etc. I think it really adds to the atmosphere, what do you think? Thanks :-)
Tim, have you guys been to any Orlando solar bears games? They are so much fun and very affordable! I think people in Orlando should go more often to support the bears. Hockey is so underrated and not to mention it’s so cheap! IMO the best sporting event in Orlando
