It's quite amazing, actually. I've seen the Eiffel tower and now this train station in Budapest. Can't wait to see it when they are donw remodeling it. Thanks Eckert. 🇭🇺👌🚉
@@TravelAddictGuy I can hardly wait either. After its completion, it will become the largest railroad station not only in Hungary but in the entire Carpathian region.
Hi Kerry. Very interesting traveling around Europe by train. Thanks for taking us along to Budapest Hungry by train. The train is a cool way to travel. Liked the restaurant on the train. Very responsible prices. Nice video. Enjoyed the ride.
6:45 that's where you can hang your bike :). Humenné is close to my home town (Snina), it's not a very touristy part of Slovakia but it's a beautiful region with a National Park Poloniny. It's great for hiking/cycling. BTW Paul Newman's mother was born just outside of Humenné and Andy Warhol's parents were born near the town of Medzilaborce, north of Humenné. There is a museum dedicated to Andy Warhol and his family. A lot of people from this region emigrated to the US in the early 1900s. My family, and most of my friends still have relatives in the US :) Oh and the reason why Humenné appears on this boards in Bratislava is because it is often the final destination of cross-country trains (Bratislava - Humenné, Prague - Humenné)
They have fried eggs in that menu, nice! Looks cozy inside that dining room with those massive windows showing the amazing landscape. I want to check it out now. I wonder if they would take large items, like a bicycle. Maybe those hangers at the 6:45 min mark are for bikes. Do you know what happened to the guy who was causing trouble?
The guy seemed almost mentally challenged. They were a srrange looking couple. Apparently they were on the train with no ticket. I think you can take a bicycle, other comme ts said you could. The dining car is awesome. Have your lunch and enjoy the trip. Thanks Leplane.
Humenne is in the east of Slovakia 🇸🇰 on the way to Ukrainian border. I listened to a Spectacular Slovakia podcast to learn more about this region. It’s mountainous and bus travel can induce motion sickness on those curvy roads.
Thanks for that great research. It was hard to find a train to Budapest at first. The travel sites were showing just buses. The train travels slow in some areas and stays near the river mostly. Sounds like Humenne would be an interesting place to visit. Thanks Pat.👍😎
Not as fast as Spain. You go slow in some spots and faster in others. They did not show the speed like Spain, so I'm not really sure. One great thing is, you can relax and have a beer or lunch in the dining car.
