In 2018 I went to my Local Animal Shelter to Adopt a Cat. I'm glad I shot footage and was able to make a cat rescue video. Look at all the cute cats and cats meowing ready for adoption. Donate by Paypal: www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr...
Emma Japon I mean, he adopted them all, he may have the money but even so, donation can be used for more stuff for the kittens Please don’t act all expert for someone asking for donations, there’s nothing wrong with asking
@@cjeff99 If I want to donate my money, I will; if I don't want to, I will not. Simple as that. But I don't make a stupid comment saying how much money I spend on my cats or what other people should or shouldn't do with their cats.
Jennifer Murphy so you’re on RU-vid basically.. always? 😼😽 They’re Spoiled but can’t say I manage to ever stop spoiling them. Some kind of mind game going on. One meow and I’m up 😸
While I'm extremely happy you adopted a kitty from a shelter instead of a breeder, I am also extremely heartbroken seeing the amount of kitties stuck in the shelter without a loving family.
Perhaps that's a shelter for a large metropolitan area. There may be many people coming in to get pets all the time, more than at the rural shelters. I spoke to one shelter in Ohio that had 200 cats in 3 rooms. They told me I could take 10 cats if I so desired. Get you animals spayed and neutered folks.
It's heart breaking to hear those tiny cries, I don't think I could work there, I'd be in tears all day. I'd be scrutinizing the people who wanted to adopt. How can anyone be cruel to those little babies.
@@ashleyrowe1573 nah cages are a lot better than being on the street with no shelter and food, at least being in there guaranteed their safety and wellbeing.
I know right. When I was a child my family took me to the animal shelter for my birthday. I loved cats so we were trying to choose one. But when I saw them. They were begging us. I told my family I wanted them all but they denied. Instead of one we got 6 cats. They were loving
Their meows made me sad. All of them behind bars like that. I want to adopt all of those cute little babies! Thanks for all the likes guys! Honestly, i really wasn't expecting that😄
The last time I went to an animal shelter I adopted the oldest one they had. She was 15 years old and had recently lost her home. That broke my heart and I decided to go rescue her. I named her Hope. She had an upper respiratory infection, but you shouldn't let that kind of stuff scare you off from one. They have these wonderful people called vets and they have stuff called medicine. Hope and I had 3 1/2 wonderful years together. It may sound like a cliche, but if anyone was rescued that day I met Hope, it was me. Peace.
When I adopted my first cat 2 years ago, I asked which cat had been there the longest... they showed me my cat, I took her into the playroom, she ignored me, & I knew she was the one. When we got home, she would not stop licking my face, & she would sleep on my head & lick my face. She’s the best.
When it comes to adopting a cat, a friend of mine proved you let the cat chose the human, not the other way around. At the shelter, the workers had him sit in a chair and they put his first choice into his lap. That cat jumped right back into its cage. So his second choice was put in his lap. The cat bit his hand. His third choice was put in lap. She curled up in lap, purring. She lived with my friend for 14 years.
That’s how I chose my cat :) In my country, all the cats are in the same space (it’s very big, they were all treated very well). I saw a very pretty cat but it was one of the only ones that wasn’t following me around. My brother chose a kitty that kept following him, and when I knelt down to pet her another kitten jumped in my lap, it broke my heart I could only get one cat:(
I wasn’t even looking for a pet. my friend and i go to the shelters a lot, just to pet and love the dogs and cats. and this tiny kitten jumpt on my butt. He was hanging there with his clauws in my butt.. I took him home...
I always tend to pick the one who is the least possible to be adopted. I have one now that got my arms clawed open getting her in the carrier to get home because she was so afraid of humans. She is still a bit skittish but turned out to be so loving.
This is what I want to do when I can adopt a cat. Get old ones who have been there the longest then give them a good life! Older cats r such cuties aswell.
@@toetobias I have a not so stray cat at home right now shes a 2-3 year old grandma we were taking care of her in our patio and one day we saw her unable to walk it turns out that somebody kicked her and seperated her hips but thankfully she didn't need surgery to recover and she can move just fine now its nice to have her around and we found out she is still a kitten deep down
When I adopted my cat, we went to several different locations; the Humane Society had a plethora of kittens, but ultimately, I brought home an adult cat from Petsmart. She was already approximately four, which puts her at a much lower likelihood of getting adopted. Besides, she ended up being perfect: solitary, independent, and weird, just like me.
i did work at a local animal shelter some years ago, and i can tell one thing, for 100000% sure its nearly impossible to not fall in love will all the cats
ALL o them . If I had big house and not a flat it would be cats heaven. I `ve already adopted two cats and dog and they are part of our family. Last cat that I ve adopted lived until the age of 22 and died in my arms. I could never ever forget her. Now I have two , and beautiful loving dog. All of them are around 2 years now. And healthy , happy , pure joy.
I’m the same I’ve had three cats in my life and I always asked a friend to get them or give me one of their friends of friends kittens, because I know I would want to take more or should I say all of the cats and kittens home with me, I’ve loved the three I had and now have 2 more aged 11 and 3, and I’m old enough not to tell my age. 😻😻😽
Dude, I volunteer at an animal shelter. Imagine how that feels! I walk past the cats on my way in and out and they all meow asking for attention and love. But I know they will someday go home to a loving family, by what we call a "forever home".
I would SO adopt Lexi! She seemed really glad to have you, and most cats freak out even more if a new person touches them. Snow White, or Ella, is adorable too
I have recently lost two of my precious cat babies. Now l only have two. This video was delightful. I wish this wonderful family (including the human) a truly happy life.
Tamora P My parents did that in 1997 adopting two cats, I was born in 1999. One of the cats had 7 toes. She passed away a couple years ago and I’ve had 3 cats since, none of which were nearly as affectionate as her.
If I had the money not only feed the entire shelter worth of cats and kittens but also their vet care and shelter worth of cat trees and cat toys I would in a heartbeat.
Saving one cat will not change the world, but surely for that one cat the world will change forever. Glad there are still people who care about these innocent animal lives.
And for good reason. There is no funding for enough places so animals which don't get adopted, are killed. At some shelters they give them only three days, and if nobody takes them, they're killed.
I didn't have to go to a shelter. Cat just walked in and decided it was a good place for her newborn kittens. They were since adopted into new homes and the mother cat stayed here. She now finally acts like a playful cat as opposed to a nursing mother
You always think you’re gonna go into the shelter and find the nicest, bubbliest cat in the whole place to take home. I found mine napping in the highest corner she could find away from all the other cats, super reserved and easily intimidated by them, wasn’t leaning into any of the offered pets or scratches... for some reason when I left she was the only one I couldn’t stop thinking about. I followed my heart, came back for her, and after maybe a week of acclimating, she turned out to be the sweetest, most loving, fun, hilariously silly cat I’ve ever even met. She needed me.
i just got a kitten when i was at the shelter she was super shy but when we got her she was the most playful kitten i have ever seen (and a bit of a brat)
@Jevonte Hodge did a cat reject you or smth or are you just trying to have an argument on the Internet cause you are sad and pathetic. you are desperate and if you don't like cats to not come to a cat video. And by the way no animal it's an invasive species, humans are, get your facts, every animal has a right to exist humans are overwhelmingly populating check the statistics. Bye bitch.
😱 so difficult to choose when so many cats are showing how cute and kind they are. I once went to look for a 1 year old cat and came home with a 14 year old cat, because she was the only one doing her best to get my attention. We spent 3 loving years with her.
The thing is, you can see their characters.. Some are gentle, calm..the type that would make you relax when you are mad/sad While others are more playful, energetic.. The one's that would try to make your forget everything and run around with them They all are precious in their own way. And beautiful too. ❤
Trio was cool 😄 I could never choose one I would be so afraid that the other cats won't be adopted too. When I got my second cat I knew it would be a handicap cat. I got a cat that was nearly blind. He lives with me, his brother and his sister for over 2 years now. After some treatment his eyes got much better and he can see nearly everything as good as a normal cat.
Those plaintive little meews tear out my heart. I want every kitten to get adopted into a loving, responsible family and be loved and properly cared for during their life. They deserve it!🐈💕💞
