I pass this local durian store everyday on my way to class. It smells up the entire block and is always pretty packed with customers.
Durian is know around the word as the "King of Fruits" and is the most controversial fruit in the world. Due to its distinct, pungent smell, Durian is banned in many hotels, taxis, and airplanes around the word.
Most people in The United States Of America have never even heard of Durian though. It's only sold in Asian grocercy stores in The United States, which most American citizens do not shop in.
People either love or hate Durian, making it a very sought after fruit that brings a lot of argument to the table whenever it is brought up in conversation. There are countless types of Durian fruit and one can spend all the way up to $100.00 USD per kilogram.
I wanted to see what it was like inside so I stepped in and started to film. The shop owners where very friendly and totally fine with me filming.
