The Neon is a special addition version. I looked at one on a used car lot here. SRT4, it came with a special turbo charged 4 that had numerous problems, from what I could find out about them.
I’ve been subscribed to your channel for awhile, I’m kinda digging it what with the auction stuff. May I suggest putting the websites of the places in your description area. Keep it up my man, nothing happens overnight.
Wanted to let you know the crv from that year came with the unpainted front bumper from factory. Looks like maybe hood was just replaced. Edit: Also if they’re are cleaned up and in good running order they can still demand up to like 4500 on Facebook, Especially in tax time. About the Hyundais, The Sonatas you were looking at 2011-2015 Have recalled 2.4 Theta engines. The bearings go bad because of metal shavings left over from manufacturing. Those are the only engines that have a recall because of the widespread failure, but all Hyundais’ have this problem. At the dealer only auctions we see Hundreds of Hyundai/Kia products with knocking engines or seized engines at lowww mileage. These cars include these old Sonatas,Elantra’s but we also see a lot of newer ones like 2020’s that engines are already blown or burn so much oil that they will blow shortly. That on top of the rampant theft issues which cause people to not want to buy them (Some insurance companies won’t insure them at all anymore). They are bad flip cars. The cheap prices may seem enticing but it’s best to stay farrr away from Hyundai and Kia at the auctions. These cars are only good to buy new and have factory warranty or better yet lease them.
FYI on the 2004 Neon SRT4, it was a 230HP turbo version with stock no mods and ran a 13.9 1/4 mile, could be easily modded and could put out 300HP+ and run 11 second 1/4 mile. If you had a good Neon then transplant everything over you would have sleeper Neon.
You can still get the VATS resistor keys. You need to get the blank with the correct resistance though (I think there are 15 different ones). Worst case you can get 15 different blanks cut - 1 will work ;)
That Dodge Charger at 21:28 was a Scat Pack, Engine Code (8th digit) was J The Lumina, you can still go to the dealers and get chip keys, they continue to make them because of Corvette and Camaro owners.
These people are a$$ robbing people with these auction fees. That absolutely insane. Literally 2 to 3x dealer auctions. I do agree they should be capped.
They are actually cheaper then IAA and copart. I purchased a 2013 Hyundai sonata with 120k for $2,200. The fees alone was $800... Once I fixed it I ended up having 6k in the car. For that price I could've purchased the car on Facebook but I didn't know at the time
That neon is worth a lot of money once they fix it up. You need to do more research on these cars and what they are because you really are letting a lot of money go. Maybe you just don’t care but I’m just saying some of these cars even tho they are in rough shape are worth some money once you fix them up a little bit.
It’s been great to watch these auctions and the see your videos to hear your comments to see if my assessments line up with yours. We are usually on the same page. Every once in a whole, I am surprised. You are 100% right about the crazy auction fees on the $5k cars. I won’t pay that. Why are there always HHRs and 2000 Buick Century’s?
HHR’s and century’s were mass production vehicles for a cheap price. When they get impounded the owns just leave them and get another cheap throw away car. Lots of Malibu’s as well.
I bought a 2014 kia Forte at the age 48 I've had plenty of car's and truck's that kia been one of the best car's I've owned bought with 85k now 120k. Brakes and tires only thing I've done
@@robertvance1873 at almost 50k miles it's served me well it can take a crap. I'd be fine 5 grand I've had it for more than 5 year's..air conditioning still cold...bra I grew up on a car lot..can't tell me too much if you would have said Mercedes Benz or range rover okay but kia an hyundai a couple of the buys an best sellers .period..and definitely less problems then Chevy truck transmissions..
$3500cad for that clean hell cat frame, wow. whatever the cost of living in in one place to another, that old T-bird had one bankrupted for a solid 5 months to the point that rice pudding was a lavish luxury at $0.28/gallon.
If I had a big garage I'd bid on the two dodge bodies..solid frame and body..when someone wrecks thiers with frame damage need frame body for repairs..seen a lot of those wrecked because people who buy them think that they are race car drivers but can't control it😢
I work at an auction and we constantly get hyundais/kias with broken ignition, recently i've been seeing them with writing all over the interior usually they write "Kia Boys" all over the car, not sure why those theives just wrote "Kia" 😂
Probably steal the car, totally strip it. Leave the shell out to be found. Buy the shell through the auction with a clean title then put it back together to sell for a profit.
The people who bought the hellcat and charger are probably the same ones who stole stripped & abandoned the shell so that they could turn around wait for the auction buy the shell then they get a title how they know they will be able to buy the shell back cause who the hell really wants to buy a stripped cars shell
I don't understand why someone would bid on a stripped vehicle (shell) when they could probably bid on a slightly crashed one that has everything for a similar price?
he told you why. steal or buy stolen car, fit parts from stolen car to auction shell, sell the now rebuilt car....hello $15-$20 profit, dump the shell & the circle repeats.
whats the website you on........is it govdeals ? I am in ohio..........was going to see what they have online......but can not fine the website you are on? Thanks
I believe that one went for between 1000 and $1500. I can’t remember exactly but I do remember when I went back to pick up my equinox they had just had a key made and we’re trying to start it. The engine sounded like it had a box of rocks in it. They wound up pushing it on to their trailer. That’s one reason I do not like to buy unless there are keys.
U need to do more research. The days of buying a good car for 500 dollars are gone. For instance the crv that sold in this video would go for 3500-4K on Facebook all day long
That is retail price. This is an auction. You’re not supposed to pay retail price at an auction. I also just bought a running Driving van for under $500 so the days of $500 cars are still around if you know where to look.
@@sshumkaerhave not been there but have seen some of there stuff. It’s a bit high for what I would want to pay. I would guess they buy from Copart and just resell, so why not buy from Copart yourself?
@@streetratgarage I believe so. most of their cars have hail damage. Although here recently they finally sold a gem of a Chevy Impala that was basically a trade-in or something but it was the one with the 300-horsepower engine and by today's car market prices not even that much.
There's No Way I would purchase a Equinox total Junk The Eco-Tec after 80 thousand miles are a ticking time bomb starters are a real pain in the ass, if the neon is a RT They are really fast.
I can suggest to you where to look. Do a simple search of Facebook marketplace in your area. Also look for old motorhomes. They are the best place to find big block Chevy engines. They usually have low miles on them and often times are very cheap.
