The Crystal Collector visits the Red Cloud Mine in Yuma, Arizona. During this episode you will be able to join in on a private journey 300ft below the surface to find wulfenite crystals with Bryan Major, The Crystal Collector. The earths wonders and treasures are simply amazing, and to be able to see where they form is just outstanding!

It is called birth canal because if they were to go any further they could possibly hit a lava pipe and the gases from the lava pipe could suffocate them.

Wow! That looked like a sketchy climb down into hell! You are a lot braver than i ever was! Geeze! Those crystals were pretty but i could never be a miner. To sketchy and claustrophobic for me! Man, you could get lost so easily. And so dusty and you arent wearing a mask or goggles. That was an adventure! Thanks for sharing!

That was the craziest, scariest video you’ve made that I’ve seen, and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them all! How was the breathing down there with all the dirt/dust? How scared were you really? Truth! It looked terrifying. And, you know, everything was only a 45 degree angle. How long did that whole tour take? Well, fascinating and glad you made it back to the top! 🧡

We are open to the public during our mining season for surface collecting only . We do not allow anyone to enter or collect underground at the red cloud mine . I gave Brian the opportunity to join me underground for educational purposes while I did some monthly inspections to keep track of the changing conditions and to have an idea of what needs to be addressed to maintain the environment safely for myself while I’m working down there.

I love this episode. Roger's enthusiasm is absolutely wonderful. You can tell he really loves the minerals but he also respects the history of the mine as well. It helps that I’m a retired professional underground hard rock miner , that was my career for over 40 years . I’m in my element underground and I take nothing for granted when I’m working I’m always evaluating and re evaluating with my head on a swivel.that’s why I have managed to remain whole and healthy.
