Gojira was the main reason for watching the opening ceremonies. I hope Gojira knows we loved the performance even if the media are too stupid to recognize this amazing band. The Metal Community is very very proud of them.
All the people complaining that this edit sucks, it is so the video DOESN'T GET TAKEN DOWN. I've seen the full video get took down so many times now. Idk why.
RU-vid being youtube. The right owners do not care whatsoever, since it was filmed and aired by the public service in France and they don't tend to copyright claim. (Cultural events by law especially when provided by France Television is considered as belonging to the people).
This song is from the French revolution singing "it will be alright, we will just behead them" in front of all the world leaders. And this building is the prison Marie Antoinette was imprisoned in before she was beheaded at the start of the revolution.

It’s because they are literally showing Marie beheaded who is considered by most innocent, and she was beheaded from crimes that lacked any evidence, song is still badass though.

You Tube sucks. I made an edit with the performance, music, and no commentary and it was blocked after it was uploaded. I have it "Unlisted" on my channel and hope that changes.

Same reason why it's so zoomed in and likely changes colour, to skirt the copywrite infringements. The Olympics has always had a strong hold on that and gets everything unofficial instantly banned.
Unedited videos of the performance which were obtained from media organizations like ABC are identified as copyright. I know because I attempted to post the video that I screenshot from ABC, but the video was immediately identified as copyright and never made it past the “processing” phase.
