DAN IEL This song is actually pretty easy if you know how to tap properly. If you keep trying you'll be bound to get it down. If i can give any tips i would say almost pretend you're playing bass with your right hand but on the fretboard instead of above the pickups
Matticus i do play bass myself. Its been a month since i left this comment and i still cant do it. I SUCK AT TAPPING REALLY HARD. I just cant play this song.
That transition around 2:44 was what impressed me the most. I thought I could play the entire song just as well as you until I noticed what you did there. I've been playing metal for 18 years and played in a thrash band, but little things like what you did there are marks of extreme talent and dedication.
Samuel Gonzalez with every tap with the right hand you have to do a pull-off so the notes you play with the left hand make a sound too you know? Start practicing slowly so you get the tappingtechnique right :)
George Stamkos I think Good guitar tapping technique is when you to tap notes Loud or Medium Loud and really cleanly. Piano (soft/quiet) guitar tapping does not sound that good to me.
Very nice!! I manage to play it almost to the end :-) My right hand finger get too painful before the end! Could you, if you have it, upload a video with just your guitar track? I'd love to hear the guitars without anything else. Thanks!
Thanks for the tip bro, used a pick all my life and wanted to learn this song. I'm going to use your video as reference to teach myself to tap. Five stars
really nice work. i think your tone is better than other covers. i will get tabs from video, it is easy to see lol, thanks for clear play. is it drop c?
I use only integrated Realtek sound card and plugins like in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L6PHzkPjH7c.html eq and conpressor (fab filter) That's all )))
Andrey Cherkasov Thanks for replying man ^^ I'm trying to gather all the information I possible can about recording equipment because I plan to upgrade mine so I'm really curious what else is there ^^
I used nuendo, plugins from this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L6PHzkPjH7c.html . In that time my knowledge about sound recording was poor) Audio recorded without any manipulation with timing, editing etc. Just simple eq.

Is it just more practice I need to get the right-handed pull-offs come through more clear? I'm using a pretty basic setup, and I definitely have a lot to learn, but I wonder if it's due to my inexperience or basic setup (I'm using an Ibanez guitar and a Marshall mg10cfx)
your setup is not very important. if you want to get cleaner pull-offs, you need more practice. and don't forget to listen to all of your practice to understand what you are doing right or not in slow tempo.
No joke, I will literally pay someone if they can explain how this was done. How do u get the track without the rhythm guitar so u can play the parts? Is this a computer program like pro logic or something? I’m locked up in an apartment with a bunch of guitars and nothing to do. Please, will someone please tell me what I need to acquire to do this with other songs? I’m so desperate to learn or understand that I’ll literally pay someone to explain how people do this. I see countless videos of guys playing along to their favorite jams.... HOW? Please, please someone explain it to me? I will be forever grateful
What i found helpful while learning this song is to relax your tapping hand. Because this is such a unique playing style and your fingers and your hand are not used to this they often cramp up which leads to unnecessary pain that you can avoid by trying to relax your hand, you can do that by resting your thumb on the guitar neck for example. Also alternate between your middle and index finger while tapping. For some reason i tried playing it just with my middle finger the first time, didn't work obviously...
