Gojira always have had incredible guitar tones in their albums, so I decided to try and replicate the one in the Mgma album. Maybe it's not the best in their catalogue but I find it very interesting. Joe duplantier in a interview mentioned they used the EVH 5150III with an EVH cab and a SM57. However, later on I discovered they use both EVH 5150III 6L6 AND EL34 versions live, so I don't know exactly which one they used in the album. The one I used in the Amped Roots is based on the 5150III EL34 so it might no sound exactly the same. But to be honest im just trying to replicate a guitar tone that might cost a fortune for free.

I used the stock IRs in the amp sim. The Freeman V30 with the Dynamic 57. you can see the mic positions on the video.
Amp settings:
Gain - 12 o'clock
Low - 9 o'clock
Mid - 3 o'clock
High - 3 o'clock
Presence - 3 o'clock
Volume - 1 o'clock
Output - 1 o'clock
*I used the noise gate that comes with the amp sim.
