That’s sad to think about. ChiChi and Goten’s last memory and the last thing they saw before dying is her husband’s face and his father’s face killing them. That’s cruel :(
Just remember. This isn't even our Goku's actual family. His Chi-Chi and Goten are fine. But just the fact that some alternate version of his family was killed pushed him over the edge. And they say he doesn't care about his family at all.
This actually proves that Goku loves his family more than his own life. When Goku heared that his alternate self was killed, he only bad mouthed Zamasu. But when he heared his family was killed too, he got seriously mad more than he has ever been in his life.
I just realized they intentionally made Goku mad so that he would get more powerful and overwhelm them, thereby giving Black more power when Goku started to beat him. It’s supported but the fact that they smile while he’s powering up and don’t seem surprised at all, like they expected and wanted it. Genius.
Our goku doesn't have to worry they killed zamasu in their timeline...he legit can wish people back still...he just felt so bad for that version although in theory how is goten alive when goku died
@@razkable it wasnt goku from the future timeline, it was from a completely unrelated timeline. it's explained earlier when zamasu goes looking for goku in his own timeline but can't find him so he takes another one's body
I always feel at 2:40 it isn't ever given enough credit. Goku has been pissed off before, but when have you ever seen him try to punch someone while they were down? He has even given foes like Frieza a chance at living.. But Black? He was straight up going to kill him. I've never seen Goku that furious before. It gives me chills
Yeah, whats even greater is he pauses and stares at Goku Black. He clenches his teeth and you can see him try his hardest not to punch him while he's down but still swing anyways
exactly.. say what you want about other animes and "oh the sub is better" but in my mind there are 3 Va's that make their characters sound soo much better and they are Dan Green Eric Stuart and Sean Schemmel, Atem, Kaiba, and The Big saiyan boy himself
I really like both dubs not just of Dragon Ball but of other animes and usually the dub does a better job of showing emotions while sub does good with story, like Naruto, Demon Slayer (I actually don't really like the dub of this anime), Akame ga Kill and many others and I do hate people who are like "the sub is better, dub is trash"
People that hate blooma and chi chi got karma this arc..you see how horrible life would be without them ....you got to see them die...but it wasn't as fun as you thought now was it smdh
The fact that Goku usually fights for much bigger things like the universe/s and such kinda overshadows the fact that although kind of a deadbeat, and how he married Chi Chi on a whim 'cause of a missunderstood promise, he actually does care about his family a lot.
Ultimately, it's a fighting show so give him some slack. Do you want a whole episode every now and then about Goku's dead end, 9-5 office job? Didn't think so.
@@toastedjawa3620lmao people will never realize that. it's a show about a martial artist of course he will look for a way to get stronger and to test his current limitations.
@@eletriky6715 Thanks, 1 year ago, I couldn't have believed myself, but I'm currently working with a company for a vr mmo rpg game! Appreciate the sentiments!
Moro and black were crazy. I feel like black was better because it had emotional ties with Goku. Moro was evil, but black was evil and heartless I also saw a comment saying that black meant to enraged Goku so Goku can beat black to a pulp, just so he can get a zenkai boost and overpower everyone else
@@Robert-ux9tfDue to being a God, Goku Black had a refined Zenkai that activated as he took the damage, instead of having to suffer big battle damage and wait a period of recovery. Dude was a walking Zenkai on steroids.
Seeing goku go all out because he truly cares for his family is something I love to see for his character development. We knew he cared in his own special way but this was the first time we truly saw him care this much (even if it’s not technically his family) (yes this is a edit the original sounded so dumb that I just had to rewrite it. I wanna apologize to you if you read this and didn’t have a single clue wtf I was on about, this was back when my Writing was really weak, having now gotten somewhat better at it)
@@jisunggoat960 how do you know the it wasn't toriyamas idea, idk in my mind goku is very innocent and is only serious when somebody hurts somebody he loves or in battle plus goku is a saiyan that went to earth and spent a big part of his childhood with grandpa Gohan and doesn't even know much about girls so yeah does make sense goku hasn't kissed chi chi
I would of loved to seen how strong Gohan could of gone if Gohan was told chi chi and goten were killed. Yea Gohan lost his touch but still at one point Gohan was the strongest.
I think gohan would've gotten much stronger in that point of time but I don't think gohan would've been capable of being as strong as goku or vegeta sadly. I miss the past gohan 😭
Me too. And it's quite relatable when you think about it. Think about it, we would've had the same reaction if we were told that our family was brutally murdered.
0:43 sean did a better job dubbing goku then granny goku, he gave more emotions to the character, you can hear sorrow in his voice, one of the hardest acts in this job. I literally was about to cry when he said " you'll pay for that" the first time
Nah, Sean is way too serious and heroic to be Goku. Masako Nozawa gives Goku that country hillbilly tone which is consistent with his character. Sean's just awful. His "Ha ha I am Superman" shtick is cringe.
Most people don’t really get why did Goku paused at 2:30. Goku isn’t the type of man to beat someone while there down. However his hate for Goku Black(Zamasu) is so high that he didn’t care. That is saying a lot.
Not how Ultra Instinct works anyway. Goku has to be in the right mindset. All this anger and hatred he had for black would just have the opposite effect
@@xrstevenson well thats true but as you said he has to be in the right mindset if he mastered it then through all that anger he would know to act calm and focus and then maybe he could do it
Goku always care about his family, in his own way and terms. people are basing anything about on how Goku should be according to their own tiny mind instead of looking to Goku's character as a whole.
you know that the situation is dire when Goku charged against 2 powerful guys head on without any plan. that animal instinct already kicked in and nowhere is safe anymore.
Goku is a mighty warrior and a caring family man, and if you threaten or kill his beloved wife and child: He. Will. END. You. Sadly, his undoing in this scene was the lingering nobility in him. Goku is not the sort of man who would typically beat down an enemy lying helpless, but in the case of Zamasu, NOTHING is overkill. He will get back up, again and again unless he is utterly annihilated, and he must be defeated quickly, before his power continues to grow. Props to Sean Schemmel. He expertly sold both Black’s callous sadism and cruelty, and Goku’s righteous rage for his slain family.
Anyone else find it extremely heart warming/heartbreaking that even though Goten carried Chichi a second ago, SHE'S the one who tries to run Goten to safety. A mother's love is just as powerful as any Saiyan!
It’s probably from all of the adrenaline and rage Goku was feeling throughout this fight. The dude did not give a shit if he lost an organ if it meant defending his family’s honor and safety, which is scary considering how lenient he is with most of his enemies like Frieza and Cell. 😰
The reason this is my favorite series of dragon ball is because of how they changed the characters like how Vegeta goes from generic tough guy to actually caring about his family and Goku goes from selfish idiot to naive badass who cares about his family and everyone else
Had Vegeta been able to fight here and heard they killed Gokus family this would’ve been over. I think Vegeta would’ve been just as pissed off due to the disrespect of killing a sayains family. 2 on 2 with that built rage? Game over.
Goku Black: I think I forgot something in my timeline... Zamasu: If you forgot then it wasn't important Goku Black: Yeah, you're right. Gohan watching at his mom and bro dead:
To me, this was one of best scenes in DBS and one of my favorites is Goku back fisting Zamasu after knocking Goku Black into some rubble lol. Lesson here, don’t piss Goku (or any Saiyan that achieves SSJ Blue) off.
It reminds you have much is on his shoulders like when trunks came back the first time it meant goku literally carries their fate on his back....the guy is the universe
There are two things that I have to point out about this scene. The first is the fact that we haven't seen Goku that mad about a friend dying since he fought Frieza on Namek. That is what happens when a villain attacks Goku's friends and family. He can be beaten to a bloody pulp, broken down, manipulated, coerced, and even killed, and it won't matter. He'll still come back. But when you attack or try to kill his friends or his family, you know that you have just unlocked the beast, and when he comes out, he is a vicious monster that will NEVER stop. Second, I have to admire Zamasu's ability to adapt to a Saiyan's body through this fight. Normally you'd think that he would recoil at the idea of having to increase his power through the influence of a mortal, but because Saiyans have achieved divine power, and are capable of surpassing most deities nowadays, the opportunity to understand and comprehend the power Saiyans have is invaluable. And the fact that he willingly allows Goku to pummel him so that he can grow stronger is absolutely brilliant. See, this is what I think makes a great villain in Dragon Ball. A character that is almost impossible to beat, simply because he is smart, and has thought of virtually everything that could potentially stop him. I honestly think it would've been great if Zamasu was the final villain of the Dragon Ball franchise. A Kai misguided by his own divinity and believes that all mortals must be destroyed, and possesses powers that rival or even surpass someone like Frieza or Jiren and can even kill the other Gods of Destruction. How that doesn't make the ultimate villain of Dragon Ball, I have absolutely no idea.
Baby Vegeta, originally, did the same thing but differently in DBGT. Baby is a tuffle that despise the Saiyan race and wanted to remake his home planet using Earth and it's people. But to do that, he took control of most of the earth and the Z-fighters and made him his slaves. And as he possessed each person, their power level gets multiple by his own and he finally possessed Vegeta. They're combined strength was more than a match for SSJ4 Goku(Elder Kai said so) and the odds weren't on Goku's(and Pan's, Uub's and Mr. Satan's) side. And the only reason Goku succeeded was because the Supreme Kai interfered with a mortals problem.
