He was chosen by Shenron to be guardian of the Dragon Balls. From here its pure speculation. If the creator of the DBs dies then its safe to assume that Shenron and Goku would follow. It was never made clear but Id like to think that Goku takes over as the sole guardian of the DBs at some point; only granting wishes to people with good intentions.

Goku is killed and his spirit destroys Omega Shenron, then before Goku can pass onto the Other World, Shenron revives him and doing so chooses Goku to become guardian of the Dragon Balls, not only making them millions of times stronger than under Dende but thus making it so overuse of the Dragon Balls won’t ever cause the shadow dragons to appear ever again Now, whether or not Dende is still connected to the Dragon Balls is uncertain, but more than likely not anymore. If Goku merged with Shenron and became the sole protector, this would have to mean Goku in turn not only becomes immortal, but his life force is used to maintain them similar to Kami’s or Dende’s

Wrong, it’s goku’s original dub voice actor that later became gohan’s voice actor, and is now goku jr.’s voice actor. She has come full circle with her part in DB and it irritates me a bit that most of the db community doesn’t see that she’s way more special then seem or however you spell dub adult goku’s voice actor.

I think you are confusing this with regular GT. The kid Goku here is Goku jr, 100 years after the events of the Shadow Dragon arc, the OTHER Kid Goku is just post Z goku who got turned into a kid thanks to wish bullshit from Pilaf.

Nobody knows who Goku Jr parents are but it is rumoured that Goku Jr mum died whilst giving birth to Goku Jr and Goku Jr dad couldn’t bare to raise Goku Jr by himself. Goku Jr therefore was raised by Pan and she named him Goku as he resembled her own grandfather!!
