I don't think all the mathematics in this fight matters as much as people say. I think it boils down to these 2 things. 1) Superman being able to take in as much power as he wants 2) Goku being an outright idiot for not exploiting a weakness.
@@northchurch753 Yeah, they said at the end of the second one that Superman will win any battle because he has no limits; the only way someone would win is by using kryptonite, but that someone isn't Goku because that's just not the kind of guy Goku is. He wants to fight and win by his own strengths and skill, not because of a convenient bit of rock. Edit: yes I know Superman has limits, we all know Superman has limits, DC themselves have stated that Superman has limits. The no-limits thing is what they said in the video because they used an amalgamation of Superman incarnations.

Even so both characters can't be accurately measured because they just get stronger than before. This fight is one that is meant to drag on forever without a real winner and that's why in the end this matchup is kinda stupid.
In recent canon, according to Superman, "concepts like weight, distance, temperature, even spacetime" have stopped affecting him. In theory, this makes Superman pretty much unstoppable.
Superman is also technically immortal, or will live for billions and billions of years theoretically superman could live as long as there are yellow suns in the universe which could be possibly even trillions of years. Superman 1 million explores this idea as so much time goes by without him aging that he lives to see pretty much everyone he loves die and eventually all of earth eventually just collapses and superman leaves and spends millions of years alone in the universe until he like finds some other godlike beings and starts a new team

Training buddies even. Supes would learn new martial arts and learn how to control Ki, while Goku would learn how to use the Sun for more than just a Solar Flare.
It all depends on what's canon or non-canon, although at times it seems Death Battle strays away from their strict OG rules of not even allowing outside non-related source material to strip the characters of their main abilities. There's so many battles on the channel proving that is, but in hindsight if they were to use composite versions I'm pretty sure most fight suggestions even such as this one would be pretty close.
Can we all agree the best part of this episode is at 16:37 when Goku exclaims, “Finally someone as strong as me!” and we hear Vegeta offscreen replay, “Screw you.”

Man Almost 10 years later and this holds up surprisingly well. DB Has certainly come a long way since this battle but the fight is still entertaining to watch.
the animation holds up well the calculations have held up poorly since many people have debunked these since they inaccurately calculated both characters
I figure this is the best fight they did. So entertaining. The fun gags, the voiceovers... perfect. They still do good stuff but this was the best one.

Goku vs Superman (2023) can’t top this. It feels like an event. The opening orchestral credits, the long and well paced fight animation, and how this episode genuinely felt like a finale.
It was a finale! It was the Season 1 finale for the OG Revision Death Battle. The creators said a long time ago that Death Battle was made for this debate specifically. I can't believe it's been 10 years. I also can't believe it's a trilogy now. Anyways, I'm watching all three when it comes out.
I suppose it is subjective. Hard to objectively state what "tops" what, after all. I, personally, liked the newest iteration of Goku vs. Superman the best by a large margin. The animation was gorgeous, the choreography was beautiful, and the personalities were spot-on. I also appreciated them starting with Goku in Super Saiyan and jumping to blue, given it was obvious that there would be no contest with earlier forms. It was extremely well put together. The original is a classic and always will be, but, in my humble opinion at least, the new one did indeed "top this".@@danahlrich7519

I don't understand what's there to be mad about. If I was a HUGE Dragonball fan I would except the fate of Goku. I am a huge Carnage fan and while seeing him lose to Lucy pissed me off (even though he should have won), I still accepted the fate over time. But this battle was just one-sided, honestly. I don't understand why people are salty.
