A classic Pakistani and Indian street food! Here's a simple recipe for homemade Gola Kabab:
Ingredients:
500g minced beef or lamb or chicken
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons ghee or oil
Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
1. Mix minced meat, chopped onion, garlic, ginger paste, cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, salt, and black pepper.
2. Knead mixture well until smooth.
3. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Divide mixture into small balls (about 1-inch diameter).
5. Shape each ball into a small cylinder (Gola shape).
6. Heat ghee or oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
7. Add Gola Kababs and cook until browned on all sides (about 5-7 minutes).
8. Serve hot with lemon wedges, chutney, and naan or rice.
Tips:
Use a mixture of beef and lamb for a more authentic flavor.
Adjust spice levels to taste.
