Whenever watching @Schwabe Digital videos, scroll down and read the comments he responds to. He's sincere, for real. Just saying. I appreciate it. Where's the Thank$ button?
If you used this subtle soft clipping and gold processing as the first instance of your mastering chain. Could you put another instance of gold clip on hard clip mode before the final limiter? I also assume the gold knob is similar to the oxford inflator as both are upwards compression? Please advise many thanks
Yes you could, but gold clip is not a soft clipper. Maybe classic has a bit of soft clipping attributes but it is not technically a clipper. And gold processing is not soft clipping either. It is a gain manipulation through a sample by sample analysis process. I generally use gold clip first in chain, but some use it both first and then again just before the final limiter. You can turn anything off in GC by command clicking it.
Hello, Yes it is an amplitude adjustment with very specific and finely tuned curves. Please check out the manual for more details. www.SchwabeDigital.com/manuals
If Limitless cost 185 and it’s already an expensive plugin ,,, please reconsider your pricing policy . Honest thoughts. Nice plugin ,,, but make it more affordable
I appreciate your input. I priced Gold Clip to be a forever plugin. I want to update it and increase its capabilities indefinitely. In my experience, it is a plugin I use on every project I work on. I understand you think it should be cheaper, but I spent 3 years developing it and put my life savings in to it. That savings came from my work as a professional mixing and mastering engineer, not rich parents or investors. I made it from my 20 years of knowledge, three years of design and research, and a long and expensive development process. Yes, it is not for everyone, but I own plugins that cost $549 and I bought two for both of my systems. I made the rent to own option to make it more affordable and I offer a 10% discount for signing up. 22.50 a month for 10 months.
@@schwabedigital I understand your argumentation. I was not trying to attack you.And I don't mean cheaper as in "cheap as a a bag of potatoes". Your argumentation makes more sense if you are aiming only at professionals that create enough income through mixing+mastering I order to "put it in the expenses" or people for which money is no issue. Fair enough I will think about the rent to own method at some point.
THIS IS A MUST COP. I’m an artist/producer/engineer of the new generation and you’re making the process of making music easier for us all. Tax season is approaching. DONT THINK. JUST BUY. This thing works on vocals. It works on ANYTHING lol
Just subscribed, hope this vocal video gets released soon. Wonder if Ryan will use Orange, Gold clip or both in the new video for vocals. @@charleeparkerxo
Dude what. Lack of attack and release is what *produces* the distortion in the first place. Clipper is never clean, and as soon as you cut more than just very fast peaks with it you can hear it *very* prominently. Mayba you wanted to say "pumping" instead of distortion? Because lack of pumping created by attack and release is inteed an advantage a clipper would have over a compressor in certain contexts.
The attack and release comment is about gold processing, not the clipper. Gold processing is a compressor that does not have attack and release. It is a special gain manipulation that happens after the clipping. The clipper is indeed a clipper, but not at all what was being discussed in the video. Please read the manual for additional context. Technically, anything that alters a signal can be considered a distortion of the signal. www.schwabedigital.com/manuals
@@schwabedigital Aight aight, I got so triggered by one phrase I misunderstood the context. That being said, attack and release are what lets the compressor avoid waveshaping and thus adding harmonics, which is usually what's called distortion. Anyways, I'll go read the manual now.
@@marianlech3378 Of course it sounds amazing. I still want it. But I didn't have in mind those plugins you mentioned above. I mean "standardclip and kclip" But this one has this something the other two don't have.
