I've been noticing that with old footage too, it would be interesting to somehow measure the change in people over the last 60 years or so. Something has gone horribly wrong. Even the indigenous populations show the same rapid change from svelte to sickly.
Daniel Matthews it's got to be the processed foods. Everything has so many calories in it now days. Less cooking from basic ingredients? Even bread is full of sugar.
Additives in plastics are messing up people's hormones, plus other factors such as using computers where people hardly move all day. So not one thing but a lot of small effects that add up to a lot of very messed up bodies and shorter lifespans. In the end it will cause more deaths and injuries than a war would but because it is a slow death the public hardly notice and so they don't react or try to protect themselves.
My mom's been saying that for yr's she turned 80 a few weeks ago but so many shops have turned into fast food outlets or coffee shops you can't get away from it.
