In 2024 I made my first trip to Barbados to see the prestigious Gold Cup race. It was my first time being back on the island to witness this race since I was young boy growing in Barbados. You will witness the excitement, sights and sounds of this event on the beautiful island of Barbados. This entire trip was in pursuit of winning Gold and thanks to Mr. Darwin Clarke and the Fun in the Sun Racing team I witness a spectacular show with Pat'ssewing machine and jockey Rocco Bowen.
The guys working behind the scenes don't always get their shine. They love what they do and of course, it's hard work with little reward for some, sometimes. I get the feeling that they won't change anything for the world and for them, this is their world! The smiles sometimes shrink due to exhaustion and minor disappointment of losing a race or sometimes even a horse but these hard-working guys get right back on the saddle and they keep going.
