It's just incredible how he hates himself when he see himself on the movies or on tv and he actually hates his own voice. My g0d if he only knews how much his fans loves him the way he is
Dang ik this was 3 years ago and the most recent reply was 6 months ago but at the very beginning when he crossed his arms and looked at the camera ooOOoOoOooOOO😊
9:10 He is such a humble guy, just shrugged off such a huge and perfectly deserved compliment and continued talking about Phil, as if he was trying hard to change the subject
Watching his old interviews is both endearing and sad. Like he is talking about his family, quiting snl and moving back to LA i mean it's obvious he and maggie were trying to save their marriage. And then he's talking about emmy noms in supporting like i know it's a big deal but man now you won lead actor in comedy two years in row. It's crazy
This is one of the best interviews with Bill I've seen. Really big kudos to the host. Even though the topic was basically the same as during Bill's other interviews at the time, he turned it into a really genuine and informative conversation. I really wish we had more people like both of them.
I remember Bill saying he saw himself on an interview and didn’t realise how many times he says “Like”, I hope he doesn’t see this interview because he says “You Know” continually. It doesn’t matter because it’s Bill and we love him no matter what.
"You know" and "like" are completely different. "You know?" Is actually looking for confirmation that you're OK. That you're UNDERSTOOD. He has anxiety and he'll be constantly looking for tell tales that he's in control because he may not feel like he is all the time. And I know it because I have anxiety too. So yeah it's much more about confidence than anything else, and the word "like" is a social tick of a sort. It has nothing to do with "you know."
You’ve completely missed the point I’m making. I love Bill, I have so much love and admiration for Bill. I don’t think some people necessarily understand how serious anxiety can be. It made me cry when he spoke about it because I know. I know because I’m surprised my anxiety disorder didn’t kill me, I have learnt to live with it. It’s under control. My point in my comment above is not the meaning behind the words he’s using. They’re irrelevant, they could be anything. It’s how Bill would perceive it, if he saw it.
@@weasley2o13 he also said in an interview that he's actually very shy and an anxious person. He said that in an snl had an anxiety attack when they were recording that episode and it's still there but he never said what episode was
@@Thedirtinyoureye It's the episode where he does an impression of Julian Assange after he gets out of prison. It starts off with Mark Zuckerburg winning "Person of the Year". You can't even tell he was having a panic attack unless you pay close attention to how his hands are fidgeting.
13:09 - second massive compliment! 28:51 - before Bill and Fred ever met - later dubbed 'Batman and Robin' - he just happened to be the PA who was sent to the airport to pick up Fred for an acting gig in LA ... wild! :D 30:50 - Billy said that as he sat down with popcorn and began to watch the first show after his departure ("watching your own funeral", Poehler says) he says he just couldn't take it so he went out and watched a late screening of Prisoners! So much for a mood lifter - lol
No he left SNL because after eight years of anxiety and two daughters (at the time) it was time to move on and grow as a creator and as an actor and as a human being and a father, too. The fact that his wife is part of the industry (she actually writes on Barry, believe it or not, he thanked her at his Emmy speech a week ago) only makes that move more reasonable. He said he met her in 2004, that's FIFTEEN years of sharing a space with her as a friend and then as a girlfriend and then as his wife for ELEVEN more years so, yeah, I would say it was completely legitimate on his end to make her a factor in that decision. And thank god he left, how would we have gotten Barry and IT2 the rest of his incredible projects if he was trapped in the SNL universe? Don't judge them, please. Divorce is a living hell.
@@weasley2o13 no one was judging them, youre being a little confrontational in this comment section. I see you in others and you seem pretty chill. Maybe you were just having a bad day 2 months ago.
