Nice result, cupeled gold from conectors is realy clean, I had 99,8 % on XRF. As you are working with metals a lot, may be electric furnace can be handy. Easy to use. I have very small 10x10x10 cm internal space, should buy a bit bigger. PF 2024
Oh, you used a lot of gas and at the end of all work you destroyed the crucible. I don’t know what to say 🤔 there are a lot of losses in money. Maybe using the cupelling method you should use some homemade clay crucible?! 😉✌ In my work I always trying to save money 🙂
Have you tried blowing at the metal when cupelling to increase airflow? I've found it helps speed up the process dramatically when doing this in open-air. I wouldn't do it around lead though, only bismuth.
Happy New Year to you and your family, friends. I am working on a land that has platinum group metals. Can iron sulfate (feso4) or aluminum be used to extract palladium from nitric acid?
I was all into the video until u started moving the tank. What was the purpose of that. It actually got annoying. Just saying. I never knew u could cupel without the closed oven. So I can just use the bone ash crucible in my regular furnace I melt with?
