You could slice it up first and get a birdseye view of the inside. If there is any visible gold it would increase your chances of seeing before you crush it.🤔👍😎👻🌶️

Honestly when you have that form of quartz I just pop in oven two hours @350°. It crushes so easy. You can take the hardest quartz that makes sparks fly with smallest chip, but after two hours in oven it's insane how easy it crushes to powder. I figure if looks like could have gold and not going to do anything else except pop into driveway or yard. Just crush it and check...

Sounds like a good idea this stuff isn’t too hard

@@Algoldprospecting Exactly, it's much easier then it appears at first. In Gemology, Geology, or Chemistry it's not about knowing everything, instead using the skills you acquire to help understand the path to the answer. A great man told me "what is true today, may not be tomorrow". That was Dr. Hanneman an astonishing Chemist that changed Gemology testing. Everything changes yet the fundamentals stay the same. The rest is only tricks, or shortcuts...

@davidariamirroarkyoung yeah I learn new stuff everyday. I’m trying to learn gemstones. Like morganite and rose quartz. I think testing is the only way

@@Algoldprospecting if you would like I would like to send you a copy of the guild for learning the Hodgekinson Hanneman eye method. It teaches you how with no tools to tell the Refractive Index R.I., crystal structure, if single or double refractive with both R.I., and more just using your eyes. The advantage is it takes nothing but practice, disadvantage is it's harder as eyes go out, LoL I say this with humor, but it's true. I was blind a year ago for a couple years. I actually never stopped cutting gems. I learned to use my lips to tell the slightest imperfection. I became blind overnight, and after several years a surgeon gave back my sight overnight...
