The most therapeutic channel on YT. Lovely guy. Takes soooo much patience to do something like that. Love it. I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $34 million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.
Welcome back Joe. Great watch, thanks for a holiday teaser. I pray your eyes stay clear and your hands stay steady. What you do is pure art. Best wishes for 2023 to you and your family!
The patience, the craftsmanship and the humour. It's all so natural to look at. But here lies the basis of a long learning curve and many setbacks. I can only watch in amazement. Thank you sir!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the Nekkid family!!! Nice to have you back Joe. ❤️ Joe, I can’t speak for the others, but I would love anything you want to post regarding any watches you restore. It’s nice having you back and come on Customs get Joe what he needs.
Your brain your swift hands & your heart makes a worn out watch like an elegant one. Can’t wait to watch the whole restoration. Seasons greetings to you.
Showing the lighter and singing the melody from the beginning of 2001: A Space Odyssey just cracked me up!! You had to be of a certain age, maybe but THAT was funny, sir!!!
I envy your skills. The whole time I watched I kept thinking about how badly I would mangle that case. I also envy your awesome collection of tools and gadgets. Something for every purpose. Can't wait for part 2.
Your videos are inspiring. Last December I bought my first house and finally moved out of my mothers. (I''m 34) I'm in the process of setting up my first watch repair hobby area now. I finally got my chinese cleaning machine in the mail just a few other odds and ends I need to get. I wanna say I can't wait to start doing this.
That was a good teaser, Joe. And what a great community you have here. Merry Christmas to you et al. Your resto work is first class - something that is a must for valuable watches in my opinion. Looking forward to the final video.
Joe, you're back! People were starting to worry about you. Thank you for the holiday gift. Best wishes to you and the Nekkid family for the new year. Btw, this piece reminds me of the old adage that if you have a hammer everything is a nail, and if you have a lapping machine every watchcase needs a sharp edge. Can't wait to see the full rebuild. 😊
This actually got me excited. I hope I find someone who is as good as you for my grandfathers watch. It has a huge sentimental value for me. More than any other more expensive watches I own. The places I service my watches are ok, I just don't trust them enough for that specific watch.
I make my living restoring and plating jewelry in general. It is nice to see someone doing it so nicely, congratulations! If I may give you and tip... When plating, you can get a more consistent and well distributed deposition if you submerge completely the piece instead of keeping it right on the surface line. And shake a little bit more, the less bubbles, more the shinnyness. Use a thin copper wire to hold the piece. Sorry if I'm saying everything you already know but I like to share my humble knowledge with people that do what I do and, more importantly, people who like doing it :)
What you are able to do to restore cases is so impressive. I understand that the mechanical innards is the part that watchmakers and orologists is famous for doing, but the parts that the rest of us can see on the outside???Wow wow WOW!!! You always amaze me on those parts. Fantastic!!
Hi Nekkid I can not stop watching your videos since i purchased my very first Rolex a little bit rough a round the edges but I love it , Couldn’t afford a brand new one, Keep the videos coming brilliant ❤
Thank you for a little bit of watch care. Its a boxing day bonus. Hope you and your family have a happy and prosperous New Year. Roll on 2023 when I was born I thought by 2000 we would all be driving flying cars and have robots to everything while we sat around getting fat. The only thing that's come of this dream is I sat around and got fat. 👌🤣 looking forward to the full video 2x👍
Joe, we honestly do not care too much what you upload, everything is welcome, as long as you share a few of your words and some of your kind and generous personality. And a comment or two for Trouble and the Accountant. Don't feel pressure, just upload and enjoy the break.
Ahhhhhh….ahhhhhh.🙏🏻 Just the best kind of therapy after Christmas Joe. Like all of your subscribers, I just zone into the complexities, skill & intricacies of your watch restorations.😵💫 Bring on 2023 mate!💪🏼👏🏼👍🏼🍻🇦🇺
Stunning! Stumbled onto your channel after watching WWR and I must say...absolutely stunning job...I'll be watching the other restorations and the final full video..awesome stuff! 😊
Thanks for making the effort to share some time with us all. Here's to a kinder 2023 and hopes that those struggling to just through each day are shown the compassion that great societies are defined by. Be well kind man ✌️
I enjoyed watching you work. I've been collecting watches for 55 plus years. I have hundreds. I started with my first grandfathers pocket watch and collected from there. You have a beautiful start on it. I had questions about some of your efforts and methods. But I'll wait til I see the completed work. I think if you want to have a shorter episode, that's okay. But as you can tell from my message, I like see more rather then less. Good luck to you my friend. Be safe
Can’t think of a better way to enjoy a hot cuppa and mince pie than to settle down and what one of your videos - can’t wait for the full version 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇬🇧
Thank you, I love watching your videos... very calm, never seems to be the same challenges for each watch, which is nice. I learn a lot by watching you.
Thank you for the video dear Sir. I love them. I really need to get my hands on a lapping machine. I feel inspired after watching, but also left with a million questions. I guess the only way is to keep playing around and watch some more YT. Thanks again🙏😘
How I wish I were the owner of this watch and receive it looking as new, box and everything! An awesome job, as usual . Thank you for your this channel!
Thanks for the video! I always keep an eye out for your new videos. I think I joined up when you had about half the videos you have now, I went back and watched all the older ones. Your channel is defiantly my favorite watch channel. I like how your not scared to do anything with a watch to make it right, its great to see older watches made new again. On the other hand newer watches and how they work. Overall my appreciation for watches has grown old and new alike. Thank you good sir! :D
At the risk of being labeled a fawn, I love your channel! A mechanic is a mechanic and I have been one all my life. Albeit for the machines I worked on a 2 kg hammer was considered a carpet tack hammer. I recognize all the tools and as said before I am in awe of your using tools on objects that are only a few mm wide. Amazing patience, ethic and family values paired with an absolute vault full of knowledge and skills. I would truly like to meet you one day sir! Good luck in the new year and may all your dreams meet fruition!
If that watch case was any thicker then the wearer would only be able to walk in anticlockwise circles.... As ever, I am massively impressed by your work and looking forward to the next instalment. Many thanks for posting and best wishes to you and yours for '23. 👍👍👍👍👍
Man, you are a gift, and the work you do is always appreciated. Thank you so much for the time and effort on these videos. They're just great. Looking forward to 2023!
