I’ll never understand the mental hoops these people have to jump through to talk shit and be toxic in GOLD and then start calling you bad when they lose
The only times I taunt are when I do what I call a "tactical taunt", meant to distract the opponent from the fight and to gain an edge on the mind game. (I actually miss input taunts quite often)
While I’m on vc with my friends and we 1v1, sometimes they die in a hilarious way and we start laughing. I use that emote and we just laugh hysterically.
Just had a game playing 2 v 2 where a guy took 2 stocks from me and 1 from my partner. Taunted after each one. On my last stock, me and my partner (a random by the way) both instantly jumped this man almost completely ignoring his teammate. Took all his stocks, jumped his partner. And proceeded to win that game. Never will forget that game.
Depends on the taunt and when too. Default taunt is generally friendly or a genuine celebration. Event taunts are mixed, if spammed the guy is either a troll or is vibing with the fight. A taunt where it needs two people is overall the best and most respectfully you could ask for. Your opponent is giving a small time for the two of you to bond. Thumbs up or Face Palm are for comedic effect. If it's the "You Book", "Salt", "Calculator" or the Glasses, gotta lock in.
