Great gold stack, 1/4 ozt is such a great size, you get a good amount while skipping most of the premium of the 1/10 ozt. Really, at today’s 1/10 ozt prices, if you compare it to the 1/4 ozt size, we should be getting 1/8 ozt of gold. Soon enough I’m sure French Roosters and the other .1867 ozt gold coins will be as much as 1/4 ozt gold bullion coins today. When you look back years from now, you’ll always be glad you bought gold (and probably wish you bought more). 🔥🦈🌊
Excellent observation and comment my friend! I already wish I had purchased more gold back in 2018 when I started stacking again. My first gold (which I no longer have) was in the 600 range per ounce. Your right on- years from now I'll wish I purchased more!
My first 1/4 AGE I paid $525, my second one. I paid$550. about 8/9 months apart. I'm poor, so i need to spread out my gold purchases. I hate to raise my average so I'm waiting to see price drop before buying again. Thanks for the video brother & have a great day 🇺🇸 💪
It's nothing but smart buying the dips! Sometimes I just run out of patience waiting for a good dip but most of the time I stack the same way you do- buy the dip!
Good looking gold fractional stack! I agree, I think fractional gold is an important part of the stack. I prefer to the get the full ounce, but sometimes it has to be the 1/4! Monument has been my go to lately! Have a great week!
I'm new with Monument myself. At the time I purchased these coins I think they where almost 100 bucks per coin cheaper than some other well know on-line dealers- crazy!
Congrats SS on adding 2 more Royal Mint 1/4 oz gold coins to your stack, nice variety of designs, particularly the coronation coin, I would love to know your thoughts on Perth Mint gold coins ? stacking fractional gold is maybe something for me to consider down the track, thanks for sharing your gold stacking journey in 2023. Cheers Peter J 😂👋🥇💰✌🙏🇦🇺 🐨🦘ps. I've been off line for the past 12 days, but I will catch up with your presentations 🤣
Good to have you back PeterJ! I hope all is well with you. Perth Mint gold- I really love the proof like and RP like strikes, 9999 purity, Perth quality and the designs. You may wonder why I do not stack it and it's simply because there is so much out there to stack. I started with US gold and for years and years-only US gold. once the premiums got wacky, I switched to Britannia's because I love the security features and the design. Someday, I will stack more Perth.
I've been stacking 1oz gold but, due to prices, I'm going down the fractional road with you. If gold ever goes to $3K or something, the fractional will be much easier to sell, I think.
Right on, many are thinking the same way. The 1/4 ounce size has been super liquid in the secondary market if you need to sell. Hey- at least a lot of us stacked full ounce gold back when the price was much lower, so that's a good thing!
I enjoyed seeing your 1/4oz growing stack. I'm 100% with you on those being a great option over 1oz coins. There are a lot more buyers that can afford 1/4 than there are those who can afford a full ounce.
With the price of gold now, it will be mostly slow and steady fractional stacking for me. You have some nice gold Franc to keep building your stack on👍😊
Finished my tube of 1/4 oz eagles, so decided to start another tube of 1/4 oz maples! Still working on my tube of buffalos, but waiting for a dip to grab another full oz. Love that gold coronation coin. It is very nice 👍🏻
Super cool stack you have there. Buying those semi numismatic coins is a good way to protect your premium should you want to sell. Keep on stacking as much as you can, when you can. Thanks for sharing.
That's what I was thinking as well! Having a full set of Tudors among the coins to help with the collector market value couldn't hurt if purchased for the right price.
Happy new Year Heist! I just hope I can finish this tube on Royal Mint gold before I break and buy AGE's again....those Heist videos are starting to sway me!
If I ever start stacking gold I do like the 1/10 oz. I'd like them to be an assortment of US and foreign gold. I don't know why but I think foreign gold designs are pretty cool. Happy new year!!!
Very nice collection you got going there my friend. I also started stacking 1/4 gold in 2023 but don’t think I have that many….but you know what they say “ You have to start somewhere “ 😎😂 Good seeing you again Sir…….Happy New Year to you and your family 🎆🎉🥂my friend Cheer’s 🍻. Mike
Mike, great to see you again! Happy New year to you! Right on- you have to start somewhere. Slow and steady accumulation at your pace is the best way, imo. Collecting the Tudor beast as I go helps me feel like I need to make a gold purchase. Everything costs way more these days, so it's slower going.
Yes if one wants to stack consistent 1oz is hard at least for me, so fractional is a great way to stack. i mean id rather have 4 1/4 then one 1oz at the moment. easy to sell and one dont have to sell a 2k coin if one needs 4-500 dollars@@SilverStruck
1/4 oz gold coins is my sweet spot. Been trying to finish a short set of Albuquerque balloon coins from 1996 - 2005. Just missing a couple as of this date. Collecting sub-sets within stacking 1/4 oz coins keeps it fun and scratches the collector itch. I try to stack 2 or 3 generic coins for each collectible one so that (in the future) I have ones to sell or trade without risking my collectible ones. Happy stacking.
My thoughts exactly! I'll mix in some regular bullion Britannia's in this tube I'm building, so I have some "generic gold" to unload down the road if I feel like it. Sometimes I will pick up more than one collectable to trade off later as well. Thank you for watching!
Agreed. I love stacking generic gold (common date pre-33 $2.50 and $5.00 coins) when I can get them for around spot prices. Also, foreign world coins; again when I can get them somewhere around spot.@@SilverStruck
Exciting news! Rose number [146] is my contribution to your garden. 🌹 I hope it blooms with the essence of your creativity. Can't wait to see our collaborative garden filled with unique flowers! 🌷😊
I disagree about stacking only 1 oz coins. I can and have recovered all premiums from fractionals every time I’ve sold, also ya gotta think as good increases in value if you have fractionals the sales base is broader for resale! Either way nice work Big Dawg! Preesh and Keep Hustlin
Right on brother! Fractional gold has a firm place in gold stacking and if gold continues to increase in price I bet fractional will dominate. Thank you for all the support!
@@SilverStruck I plan on traveling overseas and I want to wear my sterling silver and have gold jewelry on me. That’s my main reason why. I am able buy it with very little premiums. Normally I wouldn’t venture into jewelry because I prefer bullion
As always great vid SS. I also like 1/4oz and 1/10oz. I believe they will be easier to sell in the future if gold goes to the moon. With that said I did recently p/u a 1oz (4) 9s fine 2022 british coin. Queen on the obverse and lion and unicorn with an awesome Crest on the reverse. Little short if interested. Thanks for sharing SS👍 Hope u have a good rest of your weekend. Get your shovel ready my friend😂
Hey AGAUaddict! I'm heading over to watch some vids from you in a minute. Another stacker was talking about your channel with me earlier today and sent me the link to that new bar you picked up- nice work! I have the plow on the truck, ready to go! Heading in early am to clear my commercial property and plow mom out, lol! Good luck in the storm good sir!
@@SilverStruckoh wow that's cool thanks for passing that info along. Hope it was a good conversation and not oh that guys a DB😂😂😂 Yes already to go over here as well. Fired up snowblower, extra gas, salt food and water. Cant b to safe. I'll keep an eye out for my friend. Always amazing when the Godfather pays u a compliment TY sir!
I've noticed Gold Saurus and others in the UK stacking Sovereigns. I really enjoy seeing the sovereigns on other channels, very nice coin. I've stuck with Brits because the weight of the coin is what I prefer...might be because I'm American, lol! Not fond of the odd weight of the Sov.
The premium doesn’t matter as long as you know ur going to get it back. Sell private and never to a dealer or shop for the most back. Fractional is awesome!
I've had good luck trading gold back into the LCS. I just traded a 1/2 ounce gold Brit today in fact against some vintage silver I had to have. You can retain the premiums for sure!
I too stated stacking 1/4 oz gold in 2023 and will for 2024 as well. I’m still a silver stacker at heart though. Btw, hobby Lobby has capsules for nickels that fit perfectly for my quarter ounce gold coins. I think you get 10 capsules for four dollars.
No kidding! I have a Hobby Lobby near me, so I will check that out. The 1/4 ounce gold might be the only size gold I'm stacking in 2024 given the price of the yellow metal these days.
Glad you were able to add those gold coins to the stack before prices went bananas. Beautiful coins. I think the KC coins are gonna be nice collectible items, especially given his recent health, he might not be on the coins for long.
Gold is so high but I still feel there is an upside long term. I like fractional gold so people with a smaller budget can participate in this metal. Congratulations on your acquisition.
Exactly right, fractional is more affordable for more people. As gold continues to increase in value, I believe fractional gold will be more mainstream.
Some may say it’s too much to use capsules and tubes, but I think it’s perfect especially for 24k gold. I really like how transparent it all is too! Funny you got yours from Monument Metals, I just bought an American gold Buffalo and a 20 Franc French gold Rooster from them yesterday and waiting on the package now. Where did you get the transparent tubes that fit capsules?
Those are Air-tite plastic tubes and you can find them on Ebay or other websites. The new tubes have a different cap these days but other than that- great tubes for stacking.
@@SilverStruck Thanks for the info. I better be getting on the ball because you have been in the game long enough too no what certain, coins,, bullion do. Thanks again
I am stacking RM coins because they are the cheapest coins I can get at the moment. #teamfractional The Coronation coin is one of my favorites. 👍 Have a great weekend. ✌🏻🇦🇹
The Royal Mint coins are still the best buy for 9999 gold, I agree! Your home Country gold isn't too far behind the pricing here in the US. I just wish the Philharmonic had an updated design or a privy to collect- something.
The Tudor Dragon just came out about a month ago. Gotta update your collection now. I’m following the Tudor Beasts series too, in 10oz silver and 1oz gold. We’ll see how King Charles’s health holds up now that he’s been diagonised with cancer. Hopefully we don’t see a third monarch on the same series of coins.
I'm lagging in my pick up of the Dragon, just haven't pulled the trigger on that coin just yet. Thanks for the comment, you may have motivated me to get the newest coin👍😊
FYI in 2023 they made 3 britannias, a crowned queen, a crowned king, and an uncrowned king. I have a tube of silver of each. I imagine a gold crowned king charles on the Britannia would be very hard to find. I started stacking 1/4 oz gold british coins last year as well. The british ones seem to have the lowest price. Seems like silvergoldbull has the best prices on them.
Good to know! I thought there was a crowned King regular gold Brit but I have not seen one. Everyone kept telling me the King only wears the crown on the Coronation coins. I'll re double my efforts to find a crowned Brit as I would like all the varieties for that tube, even if it's just one coin.
LOL! I like to think I am most people as well! I love balancing the gold stack with full ounce and fractional for different reasons. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment😊
That is a great point about the Maples. I remember when the gold Brits went from lowest price to high price in a short period of time and then back down again. If you wait out the Maple- the price might drop so you can stack it!
It's working out for me Emerald! Not to bullish dropping the money right now on a full ounce,. The 1/4 ounce gold keeps me stacking slow and steady. Got a package ready to send you this week plus I mention your channel in Wednesdays vid coming up!
For 2024 I'm still focused on vintage silver. Creature of habit I guess. When silver drops and times are harder- people trade more silver, including the older silver, so it's a great time to pick up vintage. I'll continue stacking 1/4 ounce gold Royal mint coins including Turdors and the 24' gold Brit. Not much for modern silver interests me right now but that could change. @@EmeraldCoastStacker
You know- I just traded in a 1/2 ounce gold toward some vintage silver...trading on the gold to vintage silver ratio (GVS),lol! Once silver catches up to gold, I may trade generic silver for gold around 65/1.
Typically copper spots are found on 999 pure gold coins as they are mixed with copper and sometimes silver to harden the gold coin and make it mor durable. I know this coin is 9999 pure but I could not think of what else to call that blemish as it looks like a copper spot.
@@SilverStruck yes I definitely see it, I guess I didn't want to believe it. Broke my heart honestly lol. I guess that's a thing, copper spot's 🪙 alrighty.
That part doesn't bother me at all but I know it's a sensitive issue around the world. It might be because I'm American, the King and Queen are of a foreign governments in my view.
