Your videos are great. I know you do the “average guy” a lot because you can help more people with one post, would love you to put together some long draw options, can’t seem to get FOC over 15% without being 550 grains. Keep the videos coming.
Definitely like that they don't come with components, but don't like the price without those components. I am hoping within the next few years, arrow makers will make steel the standard component and offer aluminum or titanium alternatives, especially for arrows marketed for hunting. These definitely have my attention and tempted me to go back to .166, but I have had nothing but great results from .204 in both hunting and target applications. The RIP TKO and XV's are arguably the best all around arrow shafts on the market and it will take something very particular or special to get me away from those (other than just tinkering).
The Pierce LRT's can be purchased with or without components. The 239.99 price is with components, which is a two piece aluminum insert and a steel collar. You can also buy Gold Tips 55 grain titanium one piece insert sold separately that will fit all of the Gold Tip .166 shafts.
I'm an Indiana whitetail hunter, so I don't really need the micro diameter arrows. Standard diameter is what I shoot, but I have been looking at maybe changing to a .204 diameter arrow. Thanks for showing these off.
Levi Morgan told me to stick with my Gold Tip velocity's instead of going to .204 when I asked him about changing. His view was to go .166 or stay put at standard.
@cjr4497 Right on. I'm using Hunter XT 340's right now. But want to switch to Rip TKO V3's because they spine align their arrows. And switching to a 300 or possibly a 250 spine because I've increased my draw weight and want to add some weight to the front to get some more FOC. All I do is whitetail hunt in Northwest Indiana. So, I don't have long shots at all. 30 yards max. I don't need to cut through the wind on western 6o yard long range elk shots.
@kurtmcclelland8731 I've been thinking about switching to the RIP TKO's. A big part is because they spine align their arrows. And also get some Podium 75gr titanium inserts for them to get more FOC because I'm gonna switch to lighted nocks this year.
Vented vs non vented 3 blades? I would imagine that there is a potential for the vented broadhead to not penetrate as well. But probably just splitting hairs huh?
As a newbie to archery will a better arrow help with my groups, or will shooting the cheap arrows and working on forum be the best. Then build up to a better arrow?
Definitely Build up to a better arrow. Form and consistency is far more important than a strait arrow. Most people can’t shoot a difference between a +-.001 or .003 or even .006
No kidding. I should stay off RU-vid. I was killing deer just as dead with bass pro house brand arrows for a long time. Blackout X1s are seriously underrated
Man I thought Tim said they came with the new outsert system with the stainless nock collar and black front collar… I’d had been posted if I ordered them expecting the components and not gotten them…
There is no option to get these without components on the website. They come with nocks and ballistic insert system. I’d like to know the difference in weight for the LRT components compared to the Pierce Platinum. Or a description of the weight of the LRT insert. Nothing online and limited info on these. Im wondering if these will weigh out same as the Pierce Platinum.
Your titanium inserts don't match up to standard broadheads I've tried 4 different brands and none of them are small enough outside diameter they hang over insert good bit so definitely not using the dozen I got I switched to iron will Snyder core system it's been great so far
