You know some days you just get lucky. Today was your lucky day one little terminal that came off its connector. Happy motoring or hey at least you can sell it now as a completely running driving Honda Goldwing. Two thumbs up!

yeah, ifn the carbs get gunk in them they usually don't just quit, they USUALLY start runnin like crap first then maybe they quit. Same deal with the ethanol though it chews up diaphragms too. Course now that you found out it was a terminal being off, that makes a lot of sense too!

I'd hope after 2 years that you've discovered that what you were referring to as a "fuel pump" is actually the vacuum-operated fuel petcock. They are notorious for going bad too. You can't buy new ones, but rebuild kits are about $30. The previous owner of my bike simply removed it from being in-line. Nice way to cause hydrolock. Safe riding!

That was good the wire was the only thing wrong with it those Gl1500 run for long time if you service them

Is the fuel pump sopost to prime on this I can't hear mine prime but it works once the bike is on

The item you pointed to is not the fuel pump.

Never cared for those bikes. All plastic and no style. 83 Interstate all the way!
