Problem with the subs is they got 2 mins to warm up in the game and get up to match speed. You don’t put players who been sitting for 2 hours in for last two mins just to shoot pens. They aren’t warmed up they are cold you don’t do that. Sterling greslish Shaw/stones can’t shoot? That’s amateur from southgate
Yet Southgate was a god before the final even though he was slagged off by every England fan at the start of the tournament, now he is the antichrist again, got to love the English.
saka should never have to take that pen. He’s 19 and he’s got the pressure of the whole country on him. Sterling has been there loads and should take it or maybe even grealish.
An experienced player should have taken it to calm everything down . Saka may have been the 5th penalty taker . But someone should have said "stop I'll take it". If England had enough balls they would have won on pens
Racism in England bout to skyrocket and I fear for Saka in particular. As you said, he’s only 19. Someone that age getting racially abused because of pressure, let alone in general, is completely uncalled for. I’m Irish so obviously I was rooting for Italy but I really, truly wish him all the best for next season.
Yeah I'm a united fan but I do feel sorry for Saka because I know he'll get a lot of abuse for the next few weeks. The more senior players should always step up first imo but Southgate seemed to have it already planned out so he has to take the blame
They were the better team, not that it matters when it comes down to pens. England froze up second half and sat far too deep and invited pressure by just hoofing the ball back to them to come back at us again and again. Later in the second half and extra time was pretty equal but we bottled it for those first twenty mins of the second half and it cost us. Strange cos it was going perfectly till then. Don’t know what happened to them coming out second half.
I'm Italian and this is the only English coverage/reaction I didn't enjoy in a cathartic way so far, respect! if more English supporters were like you England wouldn't have had the whole rest of Europe rooting against them.
@@hulk8384 no he’s right, golbridge has Italian roots, and his name is really Brent (insert Italian name I don’t know how to spell but sounds like ‘de scissor’)
So playing against dirty cheats is what we deserved? Chiellini not even sent off for the foul on Saka, Bonucci fouling Sterling and no penalty, Chiesa rolling around the floor for no reason and Jorginho foul on Grealish. But England deserve that? No pal, we don’t deserve to lose to some dirty cheating team of clowns🤡
Can’t believe Southgate expected rashford and sancho to score a pen in a final after they’ve been watching the game from the bench and haven’t kicked a ball for 120 minutes, really poor from Southgate
Exactly you trust them with a Finale pk but u don't trust them to help the team in a full 90mins. Other than the pk decisions his whole decisions in this game was awful, changing formation again, and not bringing on Grealish early, awful
Why wouldn’t you expect them to score a penalty, they’re young professional athletes, don’t think their legs will have seized up - surprised how many people are peddling this nonsense.
@@JoshC_mufc yeah, confused me why they put a teenager as the last penalty taker. Nothing against saka but that’s a lot of pressure for someone so young, why not let Grealish or kyle walker take it?
Is what it is, England played eerily similar to Man Utd this season and you could smell the penalty loss from a mile away after the abysmal second half and extra time, terrible sub management
@@milo5395 henderson is hardly zinedine zidane, lets face it. Our midfield was never good enough we just have a bunch of work horses but no one with any technical skill. Nowhere near the level of Jorginho or verrati anyway
@@killer2434 true but maybe he could’ve given Bellingham a shot, he used youth in pivotal areas and who knows what he could’ve done with 20 minutes to go
@@ze89412 exactly , im not from england but u should be proud of ur players they did their best , but the coach made some big mistakes that cost u the trophy
Why they waited to bring on Rashford and Sancho on and not even give them 10 mins is the managers fault you need to get a touch before the penalties and then giving the 5th penalty to the kid was madness
Southgate lost it, didn’t play these dudes all tournament and expect them to save your ass with no game time before, all that attacking talent and England was barely scoring
@@footballnerd277 bud you never kicked a a foot ball in your life... I can guarantee that you can’t go sitting two hours to shoot pens in a high pressure final game you need 10-15 to warm up and get up to match speed... that’s amateur from southgate
at the end of the day, why is the 19 year old whos never been in a final in his life being able to take the last pen? like bless Saka for stepping up but at the end of the day you shouldnt be putting a child up for that. Rashford and Sancho had 1 job and couldnt do it.
Also why let two players who barely played all tournaments and played 2 mins in the final who haven’t properly got into the game at all to shoot pens. Players need at least 15 mins to warm up in a game you can’t have players sitting on bench for two hours then get in to shoot pens. I don’t understand managers who do shit like that. Would’ve been better to let sterling grealish even Shaw/stones take pens. Then a 19 year old why? It’s all on southgate
@@blueapollo1316 Mate you cant tell me you expected Harry Maguire to smash it top bins and Rashford who's been so cool with pens normally to hit the post
Its because they support different clubs, now when rashford misses the penalty Liverpool fans would be going all the way over him plus there are also united fans as well who will do that.
Oh dear. A sample from 105 racist comments were taken by the BBC. 5 of them came from the UK. If you want real racism in football fuck of to Zenit you twat where the ultra fan group wrote to the board saying black and gay people were not worthy of being part of the city so piss off with your lies
@@averagejoe2798 England specifically has no room to complain about anything especially a game after they were gifted for Sterlings BS. Btw Sterling is highly overrated
@@hasanameeri4659 also that. Played too defensive throughout the euros - when they had loads of offensive and creative power on the bench. But mostly: the pressure of English media and population once again, expecting to win a trophy when its not even won - no player can play with such pressure - especially not young players. Some lower expectations, respect for opponents and humbleness is the way forward.
That is what you get if you boo at every anthem, dive, use lasers at Schmeichel, mock a little german girl, spit into danish faces, call yourself winner as soon as you pass a group stage…
perfectly said, nothing against the players or manager. This loss was for the fans, they need to learn to eat their humble pie. This is a nation that has won the same amount of trophies in the last 50 years as Greece. Yet they talk about themselves as if they are peak spain

@@yknot8029 It's happened on Instagram already. Just read the comments on Saka's page bud. It always happens unfortunately. There's some sick people out there.
what disrespect of the opponent, they all left the stadium immediately, they did not have the decency to stay and at least to see their players receiving medals. that's why I wish England another 56 years without a trophy, and of course because England players non-stop diving
@@samsmedley7089 First I don't give a shit what happened in 2006, am talking about this tournament, and second, you talking about racism? Look how much abusive comments get Saka from england fans, England invent racism, and they are the last who can accuse someone for that

Still have to be proud of the boys, gave us a hell of a ride, but I feel oh so sorry for saka, rashford and most of all pickford: saved 2 pens and still didn't win
Feel bad for them but mostly pickford. Did phenomenally well to save two penalties. Don’t feel as bad for Saka. Saw Sancho get saved and decided to take the exact same penalty
Easy draw, dodgy refereeing decisions, 6/7 games at home, England will never get a better chance and they blew it at Wembley on Pens LMAO I LOVE THIS GAME ITS COM…. Wait nevermind
@@blackmanta2527 They wouldn't beat them . Low was shite. England fans have fans who have racist mindset, some of them but all get the blame and Italy deserved to win it.
We go again lads. It’s a disgrace how our players are getting racially abused. During these times we need to stand with our players and not tear them down lads. We go again 🏴
Feel so sorry for saka man first time hes ever taken a pen in his profesional career such a great player at such a young age and i know for a fact hes gonna bounce back cause that kid is amazing!
Gotta say thanks for the laughs England 🏴 this just couldn’t have ended any better from what could have been the worst outcome for every nation in Europe has turned out to be the funniest 🤣 outcome ever !!!!!! Love it ,the hope that just keeps getting crushed 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂well done Italy 🇮🇹 and all off Europe thanks 🙏 you
The thing that was said on ITV, by the pundits, which was spot on, highlighted the fact, that Stirling watched as Saka walked up to take that Penalty... The big players as they are, put the Wieght on a 19 year old. I hope Stirling reflects in that, feel so sorry for Saka.
Considering the amount of racist abuse Sterling receives even when he plays well,it's not a surprise that he didn't step up. And why did the likes of Henderson not step up?Anti-Sterling agenda detected
To those of you blaming Rashford and Sancho, they barely played this whole tournament and sat on the bench for 2hrs and as far as Saka goes, he's 19, he's unexperienced and Sterling, Grealish or Trippier should've stopped him and said I'll take it. Southgate bottled it when he started parking the bus. I'm not here to start anything so I'll leave it there. Respect to you Mark for uploading so soon.
Bro Harry Maguire literally scores every peno, he scored twice in shoot outs for Leicester and I am pretty sure he scored one for United as well, bro's a peno king, never missed.
Saka should be proud of himself. He was brave enough to take a pen and I also feel bad for Sancho and Rashford. But England dont deserve it. They deserve more
@FuZiON Gaming personally I love Southgate but he got the pens wrong in my eyes. Should never have let Saka a 19 year old kid take a pen Sterling and Grealish should have taken a pen not Saka and Sancho who had no experience taking a pen
