It’s so amazing that he took one of Australia’s biggest songs and translates it to his aboriginal language. As an aboriginal woman this is absolutely deadly brother. Well done 🖤💛❤️
As an Anglo-Australian I love your sentiment. And I recognise and love the Indigenous heritage represented in the Aboriginal flag: black for the Aboriginal peoples and night sky of the Dreaming, the Yellow of the Sun, and the red of Ochre and the Earth.
As a white Australian, I am so proud and honoured he took this unofficial anthem and made it his, and his people’s. Beautifully done, and I thank Mitch for sharing his talent.
This is the real voice of australia, the indigenous heart that beats within the whenua! God bless mitch and as manu gave mitch respect in saying "i love your country", i pray for that same respect to rightfully be given back to all the natives from all who live on their whenua.❤
Sung in First Nation Peoples language gave this song a whole new voice and meaning. The essence of humanities oldest living culture, beautiful, full of pride and strength.
Ryan cooper i live in canada and i red canada's history in canada's citizienship book i red about indigenous so what's your language and where indigenous people came from are they only in canada or also in other countries?
Darth Sparrow13 I am a First Nation Ojibway man my ancestors have been living on North America (Turtle Island as known to my people) for 13,000 years. Educate yourself bro before you ask stupid questions. If you’re talking about Mitch he’s Indigenous Australian ->> Gamilaraay/ Birri Gubba. Google is a pretty useful tool. Again, educate yourself... ain’t my responsibility.
Shahzeen Saleem I am Ojibway First Nation indigenous. My people are you from here North America ( known as Turtle Island to my people) and most of language and culture is lost because of settlers. It was a genocide of my people. Pretty much just like any other indigenous community across the world . colonizers tried to wipe us all off the face of the earth.
I know I am three years alter to the party, but what Mitch did was absolutely amazing! This was one of the best Got Talent performances that I have ever seen covering (and watching) the Got Talent franchise!
As a 7th gen white Australian I have never felt more proud! Mitch Tambo is a man with an extraordinary mission. He is here to help bring an end to the disputes and has the talent and ability to help change this nation for the better. So very proud and grateful to you Mitch - Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, my prayers are with you and my trust is in you. Go for it mate!
Likewise as an Australian of only Anglo-Australian ancestry I love so much Mitch Tambo and every Australian who embraces and respects all other Australians, old and new. Most especially those whose ancestors were here tens of thousands of years before ours deserve respect of the immense cultural history and traditions of their ancestry. We should be brothers and sisters who love one another.
I am Indigenous and the Voice is no joke one of my favourite songs. Yes as I don't really watch free to air TV I'd never heard this version. So fast forward a few years, to last week, I am at the Supply Nation Gala Dinner with 1400 others and the very first bar of this song comes on I get chills cause it's my song and then Mitch Tambo sings this song and I literally stood up from my table and basically walked to the stage and just took it all in, it was at the ICC Grand Ballroom and to say I felt like the main character and Mitch was singing directly to me is an understatement and I will never forget hearing this for the first time. I died I think, and now I am just a ghost. So amazing.
I really appreciate the fine performance of Mitch Tambo. Being in Canada, : I wish our 'first nations' would celebrate their culture like this ! Australian women are ever soo warm and feminin and sweet. Thank you all.
You were a triple threat with Walanba You've swiped two judges and earned two golden buzzers !! Mitch Tambo you are amazing and thanks so much for following your passion and sharing your journey with like minded people on Australias got talent for all to love and enjoy and aspire to.
I am a proud Gamilaraay woman but no moment of my life compares to the pride I felt when I heard this man sing in our language. Luv ya Mitch. You are a hero to me and to so many others. With your beautiful voice you have given a voice to all of us. You were given a gift and then in turn gave us a gift. I accept your gift with joy. Thank you so much x
This guy is going to make Australia proud, just that performance was inspirational, it moved me big time. Mitch , please make more songs like this, it sends a strong message.
I loved this performance. As a first generation Australian, I felt amazing when I heard this. I love my aboriginal brothers and sisters. Together we are one. 😀
This is by far the best act I've ever seen on Australias got Talent. I watched it when it first aired on TV and have not stopped watching it. I've watched it well over 100 times over and over again. I never get sick if it!! Gotta go watch it again!
Sometimes a performance comes along that hits you between the eyes. That rendition by Mitch, his didgeridoo player and his backing singers was the full package. Brilliant, bloody brilliant!
Seeing my brother boy do our culture proud makes me miss my culture so much more. “Yewai duoongul. Jubalung, Yewinjin nani una darghon nuguru, bulang nugur. Yaba culture Yaba jimbalung.” ( Thank you brother. The family and friends all see and feel the strong spirit of the land. 1 culture 1 family.) Quandamooka darghon mula (Quandamooka man from Queensland)
one of the hardest things to do in music is to do your own rendition of a great song... many try... most fail... not Mitch Tambo... what an absolute credit to Australia... i would love to see John Farnham and Mitch Tambo belt that out on Australia day... WOW!!!! Goosebump city
If there was ever a song that encourages indigenous culture and uniting a country that was it, brilliant. And that voice is spot on. An artist with a real message and real meaning, more please!
This kind of unity actually makes me proud to be a naturalised Australian! Much love to the indigenous people of this land and all those who have come here to make a concerted effort to be the Australia in the “now”!!!
What is your problem? Mitch is an Australian Indigenous man and he certainly looks and performs like one to us. I know hundreds of our Indigenous people, their looks vary hugely. There are plenty of early pics of Australia which emphasise these different looks. You sound as though you only see "one type" in your narrow mind when there are thousands of tribes, many of whom now have European blood, so suggest you open it and look around our country at all the beautiful people who identify as Indigenous, simply because they are. #LoveOneAnother
NCC 1701 Yeh probably right, I was born in Australia and have worked in central Australia at indigenous communities for a big part of my life, so if that is what a misinformed person who disagrees with my comments believes a person to be a ring in then so be it,
@@goldfieldsbushpilots9917 you are a jack ass mate, you know nothing of my culture. all i see is a resist prick and just before you go saying i know nothing im from the Gundungurra tribe and alot of us are WHITE so if you want to come to us and tell us we are not Indigenous because of skin color then feel free.
I was waiting for Mitch😍 Really outstanding performance. This young fellow should win; he’s really so himself never overacting or pretending. And, his speech at the end so inspiring:” We have to love each other so we can move forward”👌🏻That brilliant mate😍 I love him❤️❤️❤️
Omg I love watching this song over and over. He moved me so much and I was so proud of him. What an exceptional young man with an incredible talent. He is my pick to win AGT. WELL DONE MITCH YOU ARE A LEGEND.
SHANTELLE MATTHEWS well let me educate you, I was born in Australia , worked in central Australia for over 6 years alongside some of the most amazing people you could hope to meet, people who are at one with the land and their culture. So now ask yourself WHO is the Ignorant one here.
@Dwayno unknown with that ancestry you are a descendent of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! They were all dark skinned peoples and are called Hebrews or children of Israel, which was the name Jacob was changed to!
Indigenous Australians are not shown respect don't be fooled. Racism and oppression and discrimination against Indigenous Australians is still alive and well sadly
I don't watch reality tv so the first I heard this version was when they played it at my wife's citizenship ceremony on Monday night. This gives me chills.
Fantastic performance once again Mitch. Absolutely loved it! Especially the fact that you sang it in your language. So awesome to watch and glad you received another golden buzzer. Well deserved!! ❤💙💚💛
Absolutely Fantastic. Native Australian at it's best. Hope your country is so proud of this lad and his backing. They made your country look top of the world
What a beautiful voice and John Farnham would be so proud of this version and definitely send this guy to the Eurovision.... I would have buzzed him over and over again.... love him and so proud of him...
Mitch, I do not know any language other than English, but your translation of this epic song rocks!! Well Done!! And your stance at the end is the cherry on top. Love this!!
I've been watching talent shows for years and by far this is the best performance I've seen in all globe talent shows. Makes me proud to be a Aussie. God bless you buddy. Legend
this version gives me goosebumps - but lets not forget the ones that wrote it: Andy Qunta, Keith Reid, Maggie Ryder and Chris Thompson :) and ofcourse John Farnham for giving it the attention it needed
He absolutely nailed it. I’ve been living in Australia for 25 years since I was born in February 1995 and That was the best performance I’ve ever seen. That was so entertaining and that’s gonna be the best performance ever on the show
Absolutely love this song! I've pretty much have to listen to this a few times a day since I've discovered this video! I've never heard this song before this. I had to google the original, which is also good. But this is perfection! Well done, this Canadian hopes you win!
pure RESPECT to my first Australian's, FINALLY, we are making a little progress, I am a white female, always shown how to respect my Indigenous brothers and sisters. wow Mitch
Someone told me he should represent Australia in Eurovision someday to show his culture to a broader audience... That _someone_ was right, I am blown away 🤩
