My uncle always used to tell me that he is very much like an eagle 🦅 strapped down by his wife, to make sure he doesn’t get very far, should he make any attempts to escape.
Why do the Goldenn Eagles feel the need to go back to their northern nesting territories? Why cant they just stay here and nest (since this is where they go for food source)?
@Rohit Singh In the case of this eagle he is injured or something. He is not chained, the jesses on the feet help control the raptors for falconry. In the case of a healthy bird, the bird is only like this during non hunt time, when you take them out to hunt, the raptor is let out to fly free to capture and hunt prey. At this point the bird is free to leave if it wants to but most of the time it does not because even the bird understands that he has a higher chance of finding food with people. This is an age old art dating back millenia to the Middle Eastern Bedoiun Arabs. It's not an animal people just caught and chained up. Raptors are not dogs or cats so you can't expect the handling to be the same.
Donald was hit by a car and his right wing was broken in two places. He was treated at the California Raptor Center. Donald is no longer able to fly and cannot be released to the wild.
