Most hyped I've been in a track and field moment since Bolt's 9.58 in Berlin 2009. Wow... 14 years. I went absolutely berserk for minutes after this one. Just UNREAL what he came up with after watching his lead slip away to a monster 70m throw from Ceh on the penultimate throw of the competition. To go out and do that? I couldn't believe it. This moment is ICONIC.
I'm from Finland and it was the first time when I cried for the swedish sport success. I'm so glad that I witnessed that moment. You swedes are like our big brothers and we finns are going to be always little jealous about your talent. ❤
Y'all really cut out the best part... Stahl walking towards the camera, staring straight at the lens with an emotionless expression before expressing his representation for Sweden! What a legend!
I almost spit out my coffee when I saw that throw! I knew he could throw over 70 of course but to do it in the final attempt and in such an arena with no wind to assist the disc. Amazing stuff.
D1 throws coach here. Anyone notice that his landing position was much further to the right of the circle than he usually lands? also, he released the disc before fully snapping his hips. I'm wondering if either of these was intentional, or if he really just threw over 70 meters with those two relatively large errors. If that's the case, then i can totally see Stahl breaking the world record in the near future.
And that was an excellent ballet dancing double spin around; after the throw of the disc, there. And a well learned skill, always becomes useful in one's lifetime.
I think I'm not the only one who have reacted to the trajectory of the discus as it appears in tv. It really looks like they took the wrong mark for the landning. It really looks as if the throw actually is longer than it's now measured. I wold really love to se a real slowmotion of this, zoomed in.
When he released it, it looked like it had a nice flat spin on it....thought...hmm...could be good...then saw where it landed....was more than good....awesome competition
@@Templarofsteel88 But "å" doesn't exist in English, which makes it perfectly reasonable to replace with "a". "Sht" on the other hand isn't the natural pronounciation in either language.
