Dude is selling a kit, if you look at what you're buying, you can purchase everything separately if you want. You can support him by purchasing the kit, or just follow the channel and buy everything somewhere else. But for new brewers, having a kit assembled is good to get a foot a foot in the door.

Hey man, there will always be those that hate you for whatever reason. Much of it is jealousy. You have done a monumental thing by bringing new people into the hobby. Be proud of that. Margins, profits, etc, most people will never understand, and those that cannot make a living from creating will always try to tear you down. My personal opinion is... do what you like. This is RU-vid. If your viewers are happy and you enjoy what you're doing, keep doing it. We get asked all the time about the haters and other creators and what we think. Here's what I think: If they have the balls to create something, no one made me the RU-vid police to stop them. It's not my right to criticize, just to make my own content and keep my audience happy. Live and let live. If you ever need to vent about the BS on RU-vid, reach out, we certainly have had our share as well, lol.

You should definitely keep highlighting that it was a 2nd thought to the channel to sell. I really liked when you did drop the kits because like you had said; its gets every part of a kit in a beginner's hand. Most kits are missing 1 or 2 parts and require more research to fully understand or flesh out. So i can appreciate that thought behind the product the most.

You inspired me to pick up this hobby of mead making. I never looked to deeply into this. I couldn't care less though. I guess all i can say is, don't answer to the haters. Because that's what they want. They want your reaction. Edit: Also want to add, your channel blew the fuck up. I don't have a tiktok so am sure your numbers are a lot higher there. But as far as RU-vid goes, your numbers have increased so much since i first started following you. That's probably upsetting a lot of other brewing creators too. I guess there are spiteful people in all mediums. I suppose alcohol brewing falls into that, unfortunately.

Don't focus too much on the 20 people hate posting a new thread on reddit every week, and instead think about the hundreds or thousands of new home brewers your content has inspired to get started in this hobby. The positive spin on it is that you know you've made it big in a niche community when your content and products are worth talking about.

Wtf are haters going on about? Like, seriously. Went and looked at reddit, its a bunch of pros complaining that this guy isn't a pro.... Who cares? He got people who normally weren't interested (like muself), interested. Sonething none of these "pros" did. Last, time is money. RU-vid is free. You buy stuff from creators to support them. Same with game merch, show merch and so on.

I bought the kit for my husband. He loved it so much, that he's now on first name basis with people at brewery store in town, lol.

From a hobbyist perspective, the kit can appear pricy compared to putting a kit together yourself, but 110% worth it. he's a good dude, you dont have to research and its a one stop shop. Recipe book was cool for the money. I put together my own kit and added to it from facebook marketplace but if i was just going to do 1 gallon at a time his kit is great. But thats just my 2 cents. Dude does great videos, kits are great for those that want to try the hobby or get their feet wet and his comments here hit the nail on the head. God bless you dude. Hope you go far. He has gotten so many people into the hobby. That will bring more money to all brewery stores. This will get new customers in the door and to start looking into less expensive or local brewery stores. The kit is a great place to start. I will buy everything after that from a local retailer. He gets a little for bringing me into the community and then the community gets to grow from my wallet. Haters are just silly.

I havent seen the price of your kits, but the same people dont recognise the work, and research going in beforehand, while, and after, some people is born negative, and there is no way to change it. I have seen some of your shorts and some of your content and i would like that you continue, kits and equipment are great, i mean, i can ordræer a kit, everything i need is in the box that arrives at my doorstep, i dont need to do research, to be annoyed not to find, going to the next store, not fintød what i want, wait until the store gets what i need. I’m stoked for your kits! My family has a history of food allergies so making my own products, especially when they contain sugar, is something I take pride in. I need to know the quality will be where I want it and this kit makes it possible for people with sensitivities to make something they can enjoy. I personally don’t like wine or beer so mead is really something I’d like to try and eventually my mom and I want to do a group project with one of your kits🤘🏻

Quality does matter, regardless of brand. However people are free to spend their money on what ever they like.

You make a kit, and sell it for a price you consider fair. My wife got me one for Father's day. I am grateful for the kit and that I haven't had to hunt things on my own. Sometimes it's nice just to plug and play

I remember when you had lists of the things you bought to get started. when you started marketing your own kit, the helpful list of amazon links and the vids went away. your prices were kind of high, so I searched Amazon for the individual components myself, and i saved a good chunk of money. Some of your things are exactly the same as i can get on Amazon still, and it makes you come off as a dropshipper. Sorry, my dude. Your channel inspired me to make my own mead, so thanks for that. It led me to finding many resources and having fun making my own!

How much is convenience worth to someone. I got all my stuff piecemeal on Amazon before I discovered your channel. If i saw you first and considered getting into it and a kit was offered that had everything, I'd buy the kit even at a price point higher than buying everything piecemeal because its convenient to get it all in and all together in 1 shot.

I asked my father what he thought about the price of your kit and he said it was to much. I had a feeling that would be his answer because he doesn't take the time or money to buy from small business or local things. He is all about the cheaper route and big box stores even if he says he isn't. Once I get my house situation in order I was thinking about picking up a kit. Only question is, can you make a kit that doesn't come with yeast already? I would like to just get the hardware and experiment with my own yeast choices and I only say the combo on your page.

When your kit is 2x the price of other kits with more equipment, that’s a problem. And promoting your botulism mead and never really owning up to anything. It’s all bullshit. You’re out for money. Which wouldn’t be a problem if you didn’t sell bullshit.

What a product is worth is the price people are willing to pay- period. People are paying the price, so it sounds to me like you’ve got what a lot of your competitors/haters don’t have right now- consistent revenue as well as a large following of loyal supporters. That in itself will drive envious people crazy, and they’ll cover their envy by hiding behind “the greater good of the community” when most level headed people see right through it. At the end of the day, you can’t make everybody happy, especially those who have been in the hobby a lot longer than you have and they’re only claim to success at this point is that they get to dictate and moderate the mead Reddit form. It’s practically a dictatorship over there with super biased opinions (I got banned because I questioned their hate toward you) and people not questioning mods or the “experts” ways of doing things. I like that you experiment and try to find more effective ways to do things within the hobby. Please know that you’re positively impacting so many more people within the community. Your numbers (sales and followers) don’t lie!
