What reasons? That they beat their opponents? When VKG were drafting, people like you were saying they will be trash, as they draft the LEFTOVERS nobody wants. Now you sing that they were given the best players ever. Go back to your cave please.
Lilia Sahanova people discredited VGK because they were a bunch of nobodies surrounding Fleury, and now that they're mopping up the west, these same people are butthurt. -Vegas local Also helps that these "nobodies" are having career seasons! Go VGK!
fun fact: the song Vegas plays is the chorus from "Vegas Lights" by native band Panic! at the Disco. the lyrics of the chorus are even funnier for this series: "In the Vegas lights, Where villains spend the weekend The deep end We're swimming with the sharks until we drown"
Okay but nobody, I repeat, *nobody* projected them to be this good. Make all the excuses you want, they’re a fantastic hockey team and they are hungry to prove they are for real to the world. Plus good coaching and the revenge tour of one Marc-Andre Fleury helps their cause.
They are ALL playing with vengeance, not just Fleury. After getting their revenge this year, next year they will be the average team that they truly are.
COMEDICxCORPSE They got to the playoffs when most people thought they wouldn't. As an expansion team they have done exceptionally well. I didn't say they would win the cup.
@ COMEDICxCORPSE I guess you decided to forget Fleury was out for over 2 months and Vegas still had a winning record. WITH 5 DIFFERENT GOALIES!!!! Their bread and butter is their speed as well as their 4th line being almost as strong as their 1st line. And Bob Meyer: Karlsson has only 1 goal this playoffs. There are no real superstars. That's why there are 5 goals midway through to the second with 5 different players.
It's tough believing anyone can beat Vegas right now. They're just an awesome unit. Seven different scorers on the night just shows what a team they are.
The 2nd goal is certious of the Minnesota wild, your welcome! And the backup goalie for the sharks had a look in his face like I don't want to go in they are going to shell me!
And people thought the sharks would stand a chance. If the golden knights could sweep the best defensive team in the league with an outstanding goaltender, then they would obviously massacre the sharks.
I'm a Vegas native and still stay loyal to my Colorado avalanche after living in Denver for sometime between 9 and 10 yrs old. I still am skeptical of the knights against Nashville or Pitt, but man it's hard to ignore how insane they are playing, and they've done it,pretty consistently all season. They aren't the best expansion team ever because of luck. They had criticism from the kings series that they wouldn't score enough, and put that to bed tonight. Itll be a wild ride here in Vegas if they can pull it off.
The first goal was a redirect, if you're a hockey player how do you decide if you're gonna redirect it or just let the puck go? Lol I'm not a hockey player btw. Just wondering
arvin mendoza generally if you can get off a clean redirect then you would try and go for it. The goalie is gonna be reacting to the original shot and will in most cases be moving away from where the redirect would take the puck!
arvin mendoza Generally you always try to deflect it anything to mess up the goalie even just the distraction will occasionally work. In this particular case the shot from the point was meant specifically for a tip
Michael Herman Everyone already does. They got to take 1 of the better players off everyteam and everyones surprised theyre good. Try being handed the shittiest team in the league for years like the jets had to go through. What the jets have done is way more impressive
Second goal shouldn’t have counted. Refs missed an obvious interference call along the boards, YOU CANNOT HIT A GUY THAT HASNT EVEN TOUCHED THE PUCK YET. Jeez where’s Dennis Wideman when you need him smh
Maybe the two best teams in the league, certainly are by points. They're both very scary, but they have weaknesses and the Knights went 2-1 against them both, losing the only game 1-0 against the Predators and against the Jets, our FOURTH string goaltender lost the only game. In fact, he also won against them 5-2. The Jets are a great team, but they're not the Jordan-led Bulls from the 90s. They have a coin's flip chance against Vegas, nothing more.
The regular season means NOTHING. Hockey is NOT basketball and Vegas getting this far demeans the NHL and will significantly devalue the Stanely Cup if they ACTUALLY win it. The Jets will be saving the NHL from itself when they win the coin flip.
That's an incredibly stupid perspective. The Stanley Cup is still the championship, given to the best team, that has to march through 4 rounds of 7 games and defeat 4 opponents. Vegas has been among the best teams all season, and when healthy, the best. The Jets are a very solid, fantastic team themselves, that's why they got here to the final four. The regular season does obviously matter, in fact it's all that matters going into the playoffs because it's the only thing determining the seeds. It's the only thing you have to judge the teams whatsoever. Was it a huge surprise the Knights beat the Wild Card team and the 3rd seed when they were the 1st? Of course not, because the regular season matters. The Jets and Predators finished with the most points in hockey and went to 7 games, no surprise either.
Hey, knock yourself out. Make all the completely irrelevant " judgements" you want. We don't apply regular season stats to playoff games. Peka Rinne's REGULAR SEASON will get him the Vesina. He was pulled 3 times against the Jets. Again, get his through your simplistic mind. The regular season means NOTHING. That is why there are things called UPSETS. Also, Vegas is a cringe worthy side show of a team that dilutes the league. I hope the Jets destroy them and bring an abrupt end to Betmann's pathetic greed driven experiment.
Hey you said it not me buddy, if the regular season means "nothing" than I guess we should disregard the Jets 114 points, since that won't mean anything once the puck drops Saturday. Rinne was terrible against the Jets and he was terrible all playoffs. Don't expect the same from Fleury, the best goaltender left in the playoffs by far. The only side show of a team is a pathetic franchise that took 17 years to win even a single playoff series! The Jets are a garbage franchise for a meaningless city that nobody could pinpoint on a map and nobody cares about whatsoever. A frozen tundra where all they have is hockey, literally nothing else. There is no "greed driven experiment," the only experiment was giving Winnipeg back a team. Vegas is one of the top teams in the league in ticket sales, merchandising revenue, and fan base already only in their first year. I'm sorry you're so bothered that an expansion franchise is dominating the league, but get over it dude.
Not really, not when you're gifted them by a call so egregious that the NHL has to CALL the owner of the team and apologize, then the rule changes during the offseason so it never happens again. I guess if that's "success" for a Sharks fan, ouch! I'm sure you're enjoying the playoffs, though, they've been fantastic! Oh... wait... that's right there were only 7 out of 31 teams that failed to make them and the Sharks were one of them. Yikes.
@@MrJon1138 There is literally no excuse for four goals in five minutes. Even if it was on a penalty kill. Vegas should have needed to call the owner of the nhl and apologies for that pk.
Whoa buddy let's focus on your 3-1 deficit against Tampa first. I don't think there's ANY chance they win that series, so no Conference Finals let alone Stanley Cup Finals. The Bruins are a great team, but Tampa may honestly be the best team. They have been so solid all year, and kind of flying under the radar at the end with the Predators and Bruins finishing the season so strong. But Tampa looks great.
