Golden Retriever PUPPIES Eat Real Food For the First Time! | Episode 17 

I married the first person I ever dated (I was 19 when we met) and we've been together for nearly 15 years now (and have an almost-ten-year-old). It's hard to figure out who you are and what your needs are when you're in a relationship sometimes! I'm glad you two are able to cultivate a friendship now after some time apart and I think its obvious to anyone who watches that you clearly care about each other very deeply. Those are some lucky dogs and puppies to have such awesome dads who give them the world! Hell, most kids don't even get that kind of experience when their parents split up! haha!

I like it when you tell your truth, no b.s. You walked out with lessons, put yourself first, state what you want and what you don't want. You seem happier and the universe is rolling out the carpet for you. You are a hard worker n deserve to get what you want out of life.Your pups look amazing n are so smart to know what to do with the litter boxes.Monty being able to get some sleep n didn't realize how bad her breasts were looking. Poor girl, I know she will get better but it's a journey.

Your relationship/friendship is so healthy, the fact you can be the way you are with each other and meet each of your own needs too is great. It really shows, obviously there’s stress in life but you both look happy 😃

I couldn't help but smile really wide hearing your heart to heart at the end of the vlog. It was so relatable to me. I have known my ex husband for 20 yrs, we were married for 10 yrs then he left and went MIA for 5 yrs. Did his own thing we never talked I had no idea what his life was like other than him moving to another state with another woman (long story not worth getting into) Out of the blue he contacted me via Facebook to apologize to me. To his shock I responded and we have become friends once again. He was my best friend, my first love and it was just nice to have him in my life again. We both grew and changed in our time away and its been very good. You have to find yourself and your place in the world that makes you happy. You should never let a person be your "reason" for everything. I had done that and him leaving me was the best thing he could have done. I found myself and found the strength I didn't know I had to flourish and be my own woman and not just a wife or sidekick. He and I are the best of friends and the love we shared never left its just different now. He'll always be my "person" but now I can still be me and he can be him. It's refreshing and relationships do not need titles. As you said he's forever family and that obviously makes you both happy. So whatever the universe has planned for you both be it individually or together the time apart was needed to grow as your own person. Its just great seeing how great you get along and how you can be your own person as well.

I've noticed a lot of growth between you both and as someone who's been watching your relationship for years it's so heartwarming. Obviously I think you two are meant to be together but I think even the way you two are now is showing there's different meanings for that, like you said you guys are family. I love seeing the updates on you guys and on the puppies! Thank you for everything 💖

My husband and I dated for two years, broke up for five years (with a few moments where we kept trying) completely detached for two years from each other, then got back together and we've been married when we were in our mid thirties. We've been married for 4.5 years and that split was the best thing we could have done. It truly made us learn about ourselves, let us grow, then made us realize we were each other's home port. It isn't what always happens but a split is healthy if it gets you where you want to be and to who you want to be.

I’ve only been a subscriber of your channel for a couple of weeks but I did go back and look at some older vlogs of Joey’s and it was like seeing a toned down version of the you now. You have a big personality with lots of talent and you need to shine on your own. You both seem to be happier being friends. Not every love is forever but that doesn’t make that love any less significant. I’m amazed you’re able to train the pups to use the litter box at 4 weeks. Good job. Sending healing vibes to Monty. I remember doing this with my dog Lucy as a new born bc her mom was given raw chicken & couldn’t Brest feed anymore bc it so we got her super early & her and her brother thrives well with our help ❤ Now my baby is 12 years old she’s a jack rustle terrier Sweetest thing ever! And I’m not just saying She’s a gem…. I hope they will all stay healthy now & Monty’s breaststroke gets better asap 😢 poor mama but she’s such a great beautiful girl 💜🥰

I've wanted to comment how these videos have been so great for my disabled 7 year old son. He needs a service dog and we plan to self train once we can find/afford a home. His favorite breed choice and would suit the tasks he needs is a golden retriever. Also orange is his favorite color, so awesome Buck has figured out the litter box already/first. Should definitely encourage new owners to still use a box or puppy pads, so handy for travel.

I love that you show how much work it is to help this little puppies grow healthy and happy! When we brought our baby home 10 years ago, she was also used to a litter box. It took us two weeks to get her to poop outside. Peeing outside was never an issue, but she would hold the poop, till she was back inside.

My ex & I have been in a similar situation as you & Joey. In the sense that it wasn’t working out so we parted ways. We had time to ourselves to grow individually. Now we keep in touch from time to time & have communicated all the things we should have when we were together. It’s been really healing.

I'm glad that you and Joey were able to stay friends because you spent such a big chunk of your lives together. Just because it didn't work out the way you wanted as a couple doesn't mean it won't work as good friends. I stayed friendly with many of my exes and we hold no ill will towards each other. We all have moved on and are happy when we see each other celebrate good things in each other's lives. Of course, that doesn't always happen for people if one of them is an evil crazy piece of trash, but I don't think that happens as often. At least I hope not. I hope that Monty is feeling better. The poor thing looked so sad. She is usually always so happy and active and she was just laying there looking miserable. The negative side of motherhood.

I have always found the best friendships are some of the oldest ones because you have been to Hell and back together and survived and you truly know each other. I have One X that I was able to do this with and it is a special thing. We will never be more than friends again but that friendship is one of the best and is extremely valued.
