My ex pestered me into getting a Labrador retriever. She ended up being my protector during a violent divorce. On 9-11-2019 I had to put my best friend down due to cancer. So I rescued a 1/2 Labrador retriever and 1/2 Golden Retriever from a horrendous situation. My favorite is and will always be a Labrador retriever. That’s her photo. So God made a dog.
I'm so sorry that you were threatened with violence. I'm glad you had your dog there for protection. I hope you are doing better now! (Edited comment for grammatical error.)
@@jiggleballs55 I spent 2 nights on the kitchen floor banging my head. The only thing that saved me was my little Min Pin who loved Zoey even more than me if that’s possible. So God made a Dog.
Labs do that - my cousins would stage a mock fight & their dog would just jump between them to stop them. He didn’t even like raised voices - RIP Bruno 🪦
I put my childhood lab down last weekend. He also had cancer. He’s been my best friend for 8 years, and he’s been there for me through my darkest moments. No matter what, they will love you their whole life. It’s the most painful thing in the world to lose them, but the healing gets better with time.
I had a yellow lab previously, and now a black lab. I think goldens are functionally the same, but I didn’t want the coat maintenance. Two wonderful breeds!
I wanted to know the answer to this question for a long time thank you for the video! If I had a choice I'd go with a Golden, but my lab needed to be rescued here in South Korea so I'm just doing my best to give him what he needs, rather than focusing on what I need. Nicely explained video 👏
Now I have one of each. But, once upon a time I had a big black Lab named Jack. We spent each night lying together in front of fans as we both battled cancer. I won, he didn’t and I miss him every day.
We've had the best luck with pure breed labs, lab mixes & Shepherd mixes ( Joey was a superb German Shepherd/Gray wolf mix pooch. Our goldens were harder to train & had a lot of health problems, unfortunately 😕
We have owned both breeds. Both were females. The chocolate lab was raised from a puppy and the golden was a rescue. They both only had one bad trait and that was shedding. They were very intelligent and very laid back. We had the lab longer than the golden. I couldn’t say which was the best dog because they both had the same personalities. However, Brandy, the golden, did have that golden “clown” trait come out and she was scared of fireworks and thunderstorms. Molly, the lab, loved fireworks. They were both wonderful dogs and are missed very much by our whole family.
There is a golden retriever from hell living close to our home. For the last three years he went on attacking three times our dogs. Totally unprovoked. Our dogs required emergency care. We get along with Rottweilers and Staffords in our neighborhood, but not with this golden retriever.
I just picked up my Golden on new years day. Her and my 5 yrs old shepherd female are best friends, they do everything together, I got the best of both worlds. Oh ya plus my long haired gray cat.
We have had 6 Golden Retrievers. I wouldn't call them loyal. One left the leash-free park with the dogs he was playing with. He would go with anyone who gave him attention.
Oh man, this brings back memories. First two dogs when I was growing up were goldens, very good dogs, both pretty mellow until they got to go outside, then they would get their zoomies (still got it inside, but they loved nothing more than to lounge around when we were around). XD Brother and his wife had a Black Lab, very sweet dog, loved attention, but VERY active. Both love playing in water or mud, and both shed continuously . . . so great companions, but high coat maintenance. Difference between them is that Labs have a "wet coat," so their body is making oil to coat their fur, and that can be a huge source of allergies.
That is so true so affectionate and beautiful ..I lost my lab to cancer recently broke our hearts . still miss my Stella! Hope she is happy in Heaven !!
In terms of Intelligence, I suppose the smartest thing a dog can reguraly do is be the eyes of a blind person and guide them through the human world. Labrador is the dog that excels at that.
My female chocolate lab is bigger than the male golden. She's incredibly smart, loving to all dogs and humans, and literally a gentle giant. Would be so hard to not have another.
Two outstanding breeds. I personally prefer labs because I love being outdoors with my dogs (fishing, swimming, camping, hiking) and lab coats are easier to clean mud and burrs out of. When it comes to companionship though, these 2 are as good as it gets.
We have raised BOTH and Labs and Goldens, and they are PERFECT!!!! But Goldens are so pure and gentle, sweet and well mannered! Both breeds have lots of strong points! Best dogs ever and truly MAN’S BEST FRIEND! 😍
I am planning to get a golden lab ,but my first love was golden retrievers but i didn't wanted the coat maintenance and as I am not a fan of regular grooming and visiting the vet
Oh nice video!I am planning to get a dog and my favourites are labradors and golden retrievers! Now I can easily find which one is right for me!(Now the only thing i must do is to get my dad to love dogs to get one!)

Yes every dog is different and they behave the way they are trained or the environment they are raised in. We're glad we could help! Thank you so much for the Comment😄
Wait did you upload a vid called "final video"? And then deleted it? It popped on my recommended but when I clicked it, it said the vid was deleted by the poster. Also please don't quit the channel, I'm about to get a golden and it's really helped me prepare for it as I was really scared of I'd be able to handle him or no. So thanks for all the vids and please don't quit.
Hey, no no, we are not quitting. We forgot to change the name of the video last time. We edit the video couple of times and 'Final Video', it means Video Ready To Upload. So we deleted the last video and scheduled it for today :)
We had 45 dogs in my nani house different kind of breed Labrador retriever , chihuahua breed, German shepherd, tiger breed, potcake breed, and Indian pariah breed also but I love my Labrador retriever breed Mickey .
Since I live in a cold climate,I’d take the lab but have a golden as well 😂. Best of both worlds ❤. Since both are energizer bunnies, they would work well together 😂. I’ve always thought labs were bigger, must be the hair hiding things and both good in the water. No choice, gotta have both. My brother had a red golden retriever. My legs were never cleaner. 😂 soft tongue ❤
We have a 2 yr old yellow lab, one of the smartest dogs we’ve ever had. And, as a companion to our lab, we have a a 4 month old golden retriever. Needless to say, at this point the Lab is smarter pup. But we all love the silly retriever. Bot are females, they are total playmates, but will always chose to play with us vs playing with each other. They are so loyal, so loving and such smart dogs. Total joys & the pup is a real attention seeking clown.
I have a 4 month old Lab meant to be an outside dog, that's smart in mischief. Pretends not to know what "get out" means, but knows what "GET OUT" means. And it's not like he gets out if you yell "IT'S MONDAY". He knows the words. If the door's open, he just drops a toy right past the door to make it look like he's only barely crossed the boundaries -- but he really wants to taste all the cables and the TV. Pretends to struggle jumping on a 30cm high bench, then when he thinks you're not around you find him up on a proper height table with no helping steps around. Keeps a respectful distance off the veggie garden whenever you go near it, then the next day you find freshly picked onions lying around.
Well labs are surely smart dogs but don't think golden retrievers are total clowns! I think this video will change your mind - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ADdiE7xRo9k.html
Yes labs are exactly what you described :) In fact we have a dedicated channel just for labradors and it could be a great guide for your 4 month old lab - ru-vid.com/show-UCSM0eFOmQxChKVzVIR9lrpA
